A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is disclosed making it possible that even when a polarizing film and a transparent conductive layer are laminated over each other to interpose a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer there between, this pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is formed as a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer capable of restraining the transparent conductive layer from being corroded, and further restraining a rise in the surface resistance of the transparent conductive layer, and a deterioration in the external appearance of this layer. Also disclosed are a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer made from the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, a pressure-sensitive-adhesive-layer-attached polarizing film, and an image display device using the pressure-sensitive-adhesive-layer-attached polarizing film. The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition includes a (meth)acryl-based polymer (A) and a conductive agent (B) having a molecular weight of 380 or more.
Multi-Layer Adhesive Tape
A multilayer adhesive tape in which an interface separation between layers does not occur even at in extremely low temperature atmosphere is provided. The multilayer adhesive tape sequentially includes: a first outer adhesive layer; an intermediate adhesive layer; and a second outer adhesive layer, in which attaching force among the first outer adhesive layer, the intermediate adhesive layer, and the second outer adhesive layer is maintained after the multilayer adhesive tape is treated in liquefied nitrogen for 15 seconds.
PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE LAYER, OPTICAL FILM PROVIDED WITH PRESSURE-SENSITIVE LAYER, OPTICAL LAMINATE, AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE
A pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed from a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing, as monomer units, at least a (meth)acrylic polymer (A) that contains an alkyl (meth)acrylate, and a silicon compound (B), wherein: the silicon compound (B) is an organopolysiloxane compound; and when a laminate, in which a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer of a polarizing film provided with a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer having the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and a polarizing film is laminated to an indium-tin composite oxide layer on a transparent conductive substrate having a transparent substrate and the indium-tin composite oxide layer, has been autoclaved for 15 minutes at 50 C. and 5 atm, and then the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has been peeled away, the ratio of elemental silicon relative to the total of elemental carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, silicon, indium, and tin detected by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy is 0.5-5 atomic % in the surface of the indium-tin composite oxide layer.
OPTICAL BODY INCLUDING MULTILAYER OPTICAL FILM AND THIN ADHESIVE LAYER
Optical bodies are described. In particular, optical bodies having a birefringent multilayer optical film and a continuous adhesive layer with a thickness less than 20 micrometers are described. Optical bodies described herein exhibit reduced occurrence and severity of a non-uniformity defect known as orange peel.
