Personal Chair with Detachable Armrests and Backrest
A single-person chair includes a proximal end, a distal end, and a generally convex central portion extending between the proximal end and the distal end. The central portion extends upwardly, forming a first pool between the proximal end and the central portion and a second pool between the distal end and the central portion. A backrest is releasably connectable to the proximal end. A longitudinal centerline extends between the proximal end and the distal end. A first sidewall extends between the proximal end and the distal end on a first side of the longitudinal centerline and a second sidewall extends between the proximal end and the distal end on a second side of the longitudinal centerline. A liquid can be contained within the chair between the proximal end, the distal end, the first sidewall, and the second sidewall.
RECLINER SUPPORT SYSTEM
A recliner support system (RSS) configured to provide support for individuals having poor posture control. The RSS may include a base assembly configured to move with reclinable furniture between upright and reclined positions. The RSS may include one or more straps configured to secure the base assembly to the reclinable furniture. The RSS may include one or more harnesses attached to the base assembly and configured to maintain a stable and well-aligned body position. The RSS may include one or more supports attached to the base assembly and configured to provide body support. The RSS may include a seat cushion including a bottom portion, a rear portion, and a flexible hinge portion connecting the bottom and rear portion and configured to move with and support a body in an upright sitting position, in a reclined position, and while moving between the upright sitting position and the reclined position.
Load support structure
A body support structure includes a frame and a membrane attached to the frame. The membrane includes elastomeric filaments. The membrane includes different regions with different stiffness. The membrane may form a part of a seat or a backrest.

A body support structure includes a frame and a membrane attached to the frame. The membrane includes elastomeric filaments. The membrane includes different regions with different stiffness. The membrane may form a part of a seat or a backrest.
BODY SUPPORT ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR THE USE AND ASSEMBLY THEREOF
A body support assembly includes a seat assembly and backrest assembly supported by tilt control assembly. Methods of using and assembling the body support assembly are provided.
POWERED CHAIRS FOR PUBLIC VENUES, ASSEMBLIES FOR USE IN POWERED CHAIRS, AND COMPONENTS FOR USE IN ASSEMBLIES FOR USE IN POWERED CHAIRS
Powered chairs, assemblies for use in the powered chairs, and components for use in the assemblies are provided. Electrical systems for use in the powered chairs, and components for use in the electrical systems are provided. Control systems and methods for operating powered chairs are also provided. Any given chair may be locally and/or remotely controlled.

A body support structure includes a frame and a membrane attached to the frame. The membrane includes elastomeric filaments. The membrane includes different regions with different stiffness. The membrane may form a part of a seat or a backrest.
Cushions including flat springs
Cushions include a chassis core having a rigid or semi-rigid base sheet; and a plurality of paired flat springs coupled to the rigid or semi-rigid base sheet, wherein each paired flat spring comprises a lower flat spring including a first terminal end, a second terminal end, and a flexible arcuate member extending from the first terminal end to the second terminal end, and an upper flat spring including a first terminal end, a second terminal end, and a flexible arcuate member extending from the first terminal end to the second terminal end, wherein the first and second terminal ends of the upper flat spring are fixedly attached to respective first and second terminal ends of the lower flat spring such that the upper flat spring is inverted relative to the lower flat spring. Also disclosed are processes for manufacturing the core chassis.
Body support assembly and methods for the use and assembly thereof
A seat assembly includes a base and a support platform spaced above the base. The support platform includes a pad having a hinge portion defining a flex region, wherein the pad is pivotable about the flex region. A link has a lower portion coupled to the base and an upper portion coupled to the pad, wherein the upper portion is pivotable with the pad about the flex region.
Body support member with lattice structure
A body support structure includes a structural lattice structure having a first stiffness, and a compressive lattice structure supported by the structural lattice structure and having a second stiffness less than the first stiffness. A skin lattice structure is supported by the compressive lattice structure, wherein the skin lattice structure is resistant to shear deformation in response to a normal force and is expandable in a direction transverse to the normal force.
