Powered chairs, assemblies for use in the powered chairs, and components for use in the assemblies are provided. Electrical systems for use in the powered chairs, and components for use in the electrical systems are provided. Control systems and methods for operating powered chairs are also provided. Any given chair may be locally and/or remotely controlled.

The chair according to the invention has a seat, a backrest, a support frame, and at least one S-shaped leaf spring. The S-shaped leaf spring at a first section is fastened to the support frame, the seat is mounted at a second section, and the backrest is mounted at a third section. A first curvature is provided between the first and second sections, so that in a neutral position of the chair the first section and the second section are situated essentially in parallel to one another and are spaced apart, and the third section adjoins the second section via a second, opposite curvature. A compressible spacer that is displaceably guided in the longitudinal direction of the first section is provided between the first and the second section.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a camping chair, comprising a rocking member, an upper support member, a lower support member, and a seat, wherein two ends of the rocking member are connected to the upper support member and the lower support member respectively, and the rocking member includes an elastic device providing rotational resistance and/or restoring force; the upper support member includes several first pipe fittings, one end of each first pipe fitting is connected to the rocking member, and the other end of the each first pipe fitting is connected to the seat; and the lower support member includes several second pipe fittings, one end of each second pipe fitting is connected to the rocking member, and the other end of the each second pipe fitting is in contact with the ground.
