Portable Seat Cushion
A portable seat and back cushion for posture correction. The device includes a seat member with an inflatable bladder or a foam insert and a back member that is foldably connected to the seat member. A customizable support member is disposed within the back member. The customizable support member may include either an inflatable bladder with a plurality of individually adjustable bubbles arranged in a vertical row or a semi-rigid insert with a plurality of selectively positionable vertebral support nodules.
Half-sitting stool with supported sit bone
A seating apparatus for supporting a portion of a user, the seating apparatus comprising a reorientable seat portion including a seat platform and a cutout, wherein the seat selectively underlies a first ischial tuberosity of the user but not the second ischial tuberosity, the selection of which is determined by the orientation of the reorientable seat portion.
Seating device
A seating device includes a seat body having a top seat supporting surface, a mounting base coupled at a bottom surface of the seat body, and two wing supports sidewardly extended from two sides of the seat body respectively, wherein each of the wing supports has a top buttock supporting surface upwardly and sidewardly extended from the top seat supporting surface of the seat body to a side tip of the wing support, and a bottom retention surface inclinedly and upwardly extended to the side tip of the wing support for reinforcing the wing support in a tilt up manner so as to prevent the wing support being sagged down when the wing support is pressured.
Body support assembly and methods for the use and assembly thereof
A body support assembly includes a seat assembly and backrest assembly supported by a tilt control assembly. Methods of using and assembling the body support assembly are provided.
SUPPORT SURFACE
A support surface including a cutout on a bottom surface of the support surface. The cutout, which can include a plurality of cutouts, provides a controlled structural collapse of the support surface by varying a stiffness in a cross-section. That is, the area in which the cutouts are positioned collapses more easily than the surrounding area of the support structure, thus making the area with the cutouts perceived as being softer. The cutouts can reduce the peak pressures on the portion of the user's body (for example, the user's ischial tuberosities) that is positioned over the cutouts. The support surface can also include a low-friction interface extending across a top surface of the support surface.
Ergonomic massage chair
An ergonomic massage chair is configured with back and bottom structures held up by a pair of legs. The various support bars and structure of the ergonomic massage chair may be comprised of, in typical implementations, metal, but plastic and other suitable structures are also possible. The back structure has perimeter support bars that form the base of the back support, and horizontal support bars extend from a left perimeter support bar to a right perimeter support bar. The bottom structure likewise has a perimeter support bar that forms the structure of the bottom. A horizontal support bar extends from a left perimeter support bar to a right perimeter support bar. Nodes are attached to the ergonomic chair, and stability balls fit inside openings created by the support bars and nodes. A cover having memory foam pillows therein encapsulates the chair to provide users with customized setups that suit them.
Seat configuration
A seating configuration is described. The seating configuration includes a seat. The seat includes a feature to retain a user in a specific position on the seat. The seating configuration includes a first back support. The first back support is positioned adjacent a posterior pelvic area of the user. The seating configuration includes a second back support. The second back support is positioned adjacent to the thoracic area of the user. The seat, the first back support, and the second back support together can be configured to create a natural alignment of a spinal column of the user.
Floor seat apparatus
The present floor seat apparatus includes a base, a seat removably seatable in the base, and a tray engagable to the base. The base may be used as a seat by itself, with or without the seat and with or without the tray. The base includes a post. The seat includes a post through opening that engages the post and positions the seat in the seat receptacle of the base.
Body support assembly and methods for the use and assembly thereof
A body support assembly includes a seat assembly and backrest assembly supported by a tilt control assembly. Methods of using and assembling the body support assembly are provided.
Active sitting chair
An active sitting chair is provided that encourages a sitter/user to sit actively by requiring balance adjustments and core engagement. The active sitting chair can be efficiently produced while being relatively sturdy and lightweight. The main body may be a monocoque shell that includes a rounded lower portion that contacts the surface the chair is on and promotes wobble of the chair when a sitter is seated on the chair. The chair may also include built-in handles for ease of lifting and a seat portion at the top of the chair that may include a cushion or similar component for increasing the stability and/or comfort of a sitter.
