The present invention discloses a foldable seat cushion which comprises a first cushion body at a front region thereof, a second cushion body at a back region thereof opposite to the first cushion body and having a lower spine supporting portion, at least one third cushion body disposed between the first cushion body and the second cushion body, and at least one folding member for connecting the at least one third cushion body to the first cushion body and the second cushion body.

C-Shaped Coccyx, Sacrum, And Lumbar Seat Cushion
20210321779 · 2021-10-21 ·

Apparatus, systems, and methods are disclosed involving a seat cushion configured as a partially-open annular ring, including a circular hollow space in a center of the ring, and a radial-arc-shaped opening in the ring forming a trapezium-shaped hollow space. Both the circular hollow space and the trapezium-shaped hollow space are located corresponding to the user's spine and coccyx, with the trapezium-shaped hollow space located on a rear portion of the cushion. The circular hollow space frees the perineal region from external compression by avoiding having any portion of the center of the seat cushion pressing against it, and the trapezium-shaped hollow space frees the sacrococcygeal region from external compression by not having any portion of partially-open annular ring of the seat cushion pressing against it.

Pad for Improving Sitting Posture
20210298480 · 2021-09-30 · ·

A cushion for improving sitting posture, comprising a cushion body (1). The cushion body (1) can be placed on a plane. At least two hump portions (11 and 13) are formed on the cushion body (1). The two hump portions (11 and 13) are a first hump portion (11) and a second hump portion (13), respectively. The first hump portion (11) and the second hump portion (13) are used for supporting the parts of a human body corresponding to the front and back of the pelvis (3), respectively. The first hump portion (11) and the second hump portion (13) are arranged at an interval, so that a trench (12) is formed on the cushion body (1) between the first hump portion (11) and the second hump portion (13). The trench (12) is used for supporting the part of the human body corresponding to the lower end of the ischium or the lower end of the sacrococcyx. The cushion can relax the hip joint and surrounding muscles of the human body so as to facilitate blood supply, can ensure that the human spine always tends to maintain a correct curve so as to protect the lumbar vertebrae (2) of the human body, and can also further relax the cervical vertebrae and surrounding neck muscle tissues so as to prevent backache and headache.

Chair and components

A chair support shell has an integral back portion, seat portion, and joining portion between the back portion and the seat portion. At least a major portion of the support shell comprises a compliant structure, the compliant structure having a plurality of cells interconnected by a plurality of resilient members. The compliant structure provides compliance in the seat portion, compliance in the back portion, and compliance in the joining portion. The compliant structure enables recline of the back portion relative to the seat portion.

Vehicle seating assembly with thigh tilt

A seat of a vehicle seating assembly includes a seat carrier, a thigh tilt housing, a thigh extension housing, and an inflatable member. The thigh tilt housing is coupled to a forward region of the seat carrier. A recess is defined by the thigh tilt housing, with the recess being positioned in an upper surface of the thigh tilt housing. A motor is received within the recess. The thigh extension housing is coupled to the motor, with the thigh extension housing being movable in a fore-aft direction relative to the thigh tilt housing. A fastener couples the thigh tilt housing to the seat carrier in a manner that permits pivotable motion of the thigh tilt housing along a vertical plane. The inflatable member is positioned between the seat carrier and the thigh tilt housing.

Seat base for a saddle seat

Systems and methods are disclosed for a seat base for a saddle seat. An example seat base may include a first face, the first face forming a planar surface to allow the seat base to be arranged on a surface to be seated, and a second face, the second face forming a concave surface, the concave surface restricting the lateral movement of the saddle seat by guiding the round lower part of the saddle seat towards the lowest point of the concave surface.

Chair with variable positioning and support

An adjustable chair frame with a back and seating surfaces that flex to conform to the shape, weight and movement of an occupant is disclosed. The chair form and proportions provide for a recumbent position that disperses the weight of the occupant more evenly, thereby reducing external and internal physiological point loading. The form also provides ergonomic articulation to minimize internal physiological stresses such as neck/back vertebral compression. Eccentric connections driven by a motor assembly allow positioning adjustment of the components of the chair. Additionally, an air pump assembly may be included to automatically adjust one or more air bladders provided on the interior of the chair frame.

Body support assembly and method for the use and assembly thereof

A body support assembly includes a seat assembly and backrest assembly supported by tilt control assembly. Methods of using and assembling the body support assembly are provided.
