A modular furniture assembly includes: a base member having a frame assembly, a transverse member having a frame assembly, a foot configured to contact a support surface, and a mounting platform having a plurality of apertures therethrough. The mounting platform is configured to be mounted on the base member frame assembly and the transverse member frame assembly, thereby connecting the frame assemblies. The foot is selectively mounted on the mounting platform, such that the foot is configured to contact the support surface when the modular furniture assembly is in an upright configuration. The mounting platform connects the base and transverse member frame assemblies together and also acts as a platform for receiving a variety of different types of feet.

The underlayment material layer is comprised a planar sheet of Ethylene-vinyl acetate closed cell foam. The EVA foam extends forwardly on the arm frame to create a forward extending lip. The use of EVA foam reduces the number of structural and cushioning materials, fasteners, and labor currently required in arm panel construction.

Each pocket of the central matrix has a maximum diameter or width of a first dimension and each pocket of the perimeter string of springs has a maximum diameter or width of a second dimension. The first dimension is greater than the second dimension.

A furniture device is disclosed comprising six individual pieces that interconnect to form a cube. The pieces include two substantially L-shaped side portions, one substantially L-shaped central portion adapted to fit between the two substantially L-shaped side portions, a substantially L-shaped top portion adapted to fit between the two substantially L-shaped side portions and on top of the substantially L-shaped central portion, and two arc-sided rectangle portions adapted to fit between the substantially L-shaped top portion and substantially L-shaped central portion. A furniture device is disclosed comprising six individual pieces that interconnect to form a cube. The pieces include two substantially L-shaped side portions, one substantially L-shaped central portion adapted to fit between the two substantially L-shaped side portions, a substantially L-shaped top portion adapted to fit between the two substantially L-shaped side portions and on top of the substantially L-shaped central portion, and two arc-sided rectangle portions adapted to fit between the substantially L-shaped top portion and substantially L-shaped central portion. The six pieces can be arranged in a various forms.

The ergonomic seat cushion is adapted to receive the buttocks and coccyx of a person in such a manner that a person sits comfortably for extended periods of time. The ergonomic seat cushion comprises a plurality of rings and an upholstery. The upholstery covers the plurality of rings. The location of the aperture within each ring selected from the plurality of rings suspends a body part selected from the group consisting of the left buttock, the right buttock, or the coccyx. This suspension relieves the selected body part from carrying the weight of the person during sitting. Furthermore, the inner perimeter of the selected ring provides lateral pressure against the body of the person providing further support and comfort.
