Chair
The invention relates to a chair having a seat structure formed by a frame member that defines a central opening. A flexible membrane extends across the central opening. A pair of support pads, one disposed on either side of the cross-beam member, is provided and arranged at a level below the central opening of the frame member. The support pads are arranged within the seat structure so as to be rearwardly disposed with respect to the front edge of the frame by a first distance and spaced apart from each other by a second distance, the first and second distances generally corresponding to the positioning of the ischicial tuberosity of a user when the user assumes a seated position engaging the seat structure.
Seat
A vehicle seat (1) includes a seat frame (6), an elastic sheet (9) mounted to the seat frame in a tensioned state (6), and a trim (10) provided on the elastic sheet (9). The elastic sheet (9) includes a fastening section including a fastening plate (16) for the trim (10). The trim (10) includes a trim body (11) and a trim end (15) that is attached to the trim body (11) and fastened to the fastening plate (16) with the trim body (11) being stretched.

Variable stiffness textile panel assembly
A panel assembly includes a frame and a textile panel. The frame has a first member and a second member spaced apart from each other. The textile panel is attached to and extends between the first member and the second member. A tension controlling system is attached to the textile panel. The tension controlling system is reconfigurable between a first state for tensioning the textile panel to provide a first tensile force and a first maximum sag distance, and a second state for tensioning the textile panel to provide a second tensile force and a second maximum sag distance. The first tensile force is greater than the second tensile force, and the first maximum sag distance is less than the second maximum sag distance.
Seating structure having a knitted suspension material
An article of furniture includes a frame defining an opening, and a suspension material spanning over the opening and having a weft knit construction. The suspension material is configured to support a user, and the suspension material includes at least one multifilament forming a jersey knit structure which has a plurality of courses extending in a course direction and a plurality of wales extending in a wale direction, and at least one monofilament corresponding to and being inlaid in a respective one of the courses. The suspension material has, in the course direction, a ratio of machine gauge, in needles per mm, to course stiffness, in N per mm, between 0.02 and 0.2 and has, in the wale direction, a ratio of machine gauge, in needles per mm, to wale stiffness, in N per mm, between 0.07 and 1.4.
SEAT ELEMENT
A seat element includes a carrier frame and supporting surfaces. The carrier frame comprises a left-hand sidepiece and a right-hand sidepiece. The supporting surfaces are configured as the seat surface and back surface. At least one of the supporting surfaces comprises a cover element, wherein the cover element comprises a fabric and is supported on the left-hand sidepiece and on the right-hand sidepiece of the carrier frame. The seat element comprises actuators and the cover element is supported on the left-hand sidepiece and/or on the right-hand sidepiece by means of in each case at least one of the actuator, such that a level of tensioning to which the fabric of the cover element is subjected when the actuator has been activated is greater than a level of tensioning to which the fabric of the cover element is subjected when the actuator has been deactivated.
Hybrid seat pan and diaphragm
A hybrid seat pan and diaphragm apparatus includes a seat pan that has a concave portion and a diaphragm positioned at an occupant-facing side of the seat pan and stretched across the seat pan at a first distance above the concave portion of the seat pan.
Elastomeric webbing sheet attachment to metal frame
A seating product is provided which includes a metal frame having four sides, at least two sides each including a plurality of frame holes. The seating product also includes an elastomeric sheet webbing having first and second end loops each including a plurality of end loop holes. The seating product further includes first and second stabilizer rods extending through the first and second end loops, respectively. The seating product also includes a plurality of fasteners having first and second ends, the first ends extending through corresponding end loop holes in one of the first end loop or the second end loop and the second ends extending through corresponding frame holes in the metal frame. At least one of the fasteners contacts the respective stabilizer rod.
