Edge structure for body support surface
An edge structure for a body support surface configured to provide generally rigid support for a suspension component, such as a load bearing fabric, while being flexible in response to a direct load, such as an occupant sitting directly on the edge structure. The edge structure is configured to have a substantially greater moment of inertia in the direction of loads applied by the suspension component than in the direction of direct loads. In one embodiment, the edge structure includes an arrangement of main beams and segmented beams. In another embodiment, the edge structure may include a beam with flex grooves. The flex grooves may be filled with a resilient material. In another aspect, the edge structure may include separate sections molded directly to the suspension component. The sections may be rotated and joined to form a peripheral edge structure. Rotation may place the suspension component under tension.
CHAIR TILT SYSTEM WITH LEAF SPRING
A chair comprises a leaf spring for biasing a seat towards the substantially horizontal position and an adjustment mechanism comprises a front and rear support configured to adjust a force curve of the leaf spring. The front support to enable (a) the front end portion of the leaf spring to deflect upwardly for relieving at least a portion of an increase in a spring reaction force induced by downward movement of the rear support as the seat moves in the rearward tilting direction through a range of rearwardly tilted positions, and (b) the front support to deflect the front end portion of the leaf spring downwardly for restoring at least a portion of a decrease in the spring reaction force induced by upward movement of the rear support as the seat moves in the forward tilting direction through the range of rearward tilted positions.

RESILIENT YARN AND FABRIC HAVING THE SAME
A resilient yarn, fabric having the resilient yarn, and outdoor products, such as sling furniture, are disclosed. The resilient yarn includes a core made with a thermoplastic elastomer. A sheath at least partially surrounds the core. The sheath includes polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or a blend of PVC and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU).
SEAT APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
A seat apparatus for a vehicle includes a seatback that supports a back of a person sitting on the seat apparatus and that includes a first support body and a second support body, the first support body being one side of the seatback in a seatback width direction and the second support body being the other side of the seatback in the seatback width direction, one of the first support body and the second support body being a movable support body, and a moving mechanism that displaces the movable support body from a back support position, where the movable support body is placed in order to support the back of the person sitting on the seat, to a retracted position where the movable support body is placed in order to create an open space where the movable support body was placed.
Flexible substrate assembly and associated furniture using the same
A novel, flexible substrate assembly including a flexible substrate member having an inner surface and an outer surface, and a plurality of rigid or semi-rigid ribs associated with at least one of the inner and outer surfaces of the flexible substrate member. A chair assembly including a seat member, a back support member with an optional headrest, an optional left arm, an optional right arm, a floor-engaging base member which may form part of a frame assembly, a left side, a right side, a front side, and a back side, and a novel, flexible substrate assembly, wherein the novel flexible substrate assembly comprises a flexible substrate member having an inner surface and an outer surface, and a plurality of rigid or semi-rigid ribs associated with at least one of the inner and outer surfaces of the flexible substrate member.

CHAIR CONSTRUCTION
A chair back assembly includes a frame assembly including a pair of slots extending through the frame assembly, a first location positioned between the pair of slots, and a pair of second locations located outward of an outer periphery of the frame assembly, and a vertically adjustable lumbar assembly configured to support a lumbar area of a seated user and including a central portion and a pair of end portions slidably engaging the central portion, the central portion located in the first location and the end portions located in the second locations, wherein the pair of end portion are slidably moveable within the slots between a first position and a second position that is different than the first position.

Net fixing structure of chair
A net fixing structure of a chair, which comprises a frame, a net, and clamping fixtures, is provided. The frame has an embedded channel. A positioning strip is disposed on the periphery of the net. An antiskid layer is disposed on the outside of the positioning strip. The clamping fixtures correspondingly clamp the antiskid layer. Thereby, when the net can be correspondingly inserted into the frame, the positioning strip around the periphery of the net can be correspondingly intercalated into the embedded channel, so that the clamping fixtures can be engaged in the embedded channel. Moreover, the antiskid layer has antiskid effect, such that the net won't slip and fall off under stress. The net can be stably fixed on the frame above.
