A seat support assembly supports a cushion of a furniture member. The seat support assembly may include a frame, at least two seat springs, a support spring, and a coil spring. The support spring may be positioned between two seat springs, and the seat springs and the support spring may extend across the frame. A coil spring may be positioned on and attached to the support spring. The coil spring may extend to and bias against the two seat springs positioned on either side of the support spring.

At least some of the strings have springs of different gauge wire and some of the pockets of the strings having springs of different gauge wire are spliced together. At least some strings may have end sections with springs different than a middle section therebetween, the springs of the end sections being firmer than the springs of the middle section.

An aspect of the present invention relates to a method and system of receiving information of a user's support facility comfort requirements; using a software application to determine a proper support facility firmness configuration to match the user's requirement; selecting foam springs with the proper user required firmness as determined by the software application; and configuring the selected foam springs within the support facility to match the user's firmness requirements.
