OLIGOMERIZATION OF ISOBUTANOL IN THE PRESENCE OF MWW ZEOLITE SOLID ACID CATALYSTS

Isobutanol may be converted into predominantly C.sub.12+ olefin oligomers under specified conditions. Such methods may comprise: contacting a feed comprising isobutanol with a zeolite solid acid catalyst having a MWW framework under conditions effective to convert the isobutanol into a product comprising Can olefin oligomers, wherein n is an integer having a value of two or greater and about 80 wt. % or greater of the Can olefin oligomers are larger than C.sub.8.

TWO-STAGE HYDROCRACKING UNIT WITH INTERMEDIATE HPNA HYDROGENATION STEP
20210171843 · 2021-06-10 · ·

A method and a system for hydrocracking an oil feedstock to produce a light oil stream without build-up of heavy polynuclear aromatic (HPNA) hydrocarbons in the recycle stream. The method may include hydrocracking an oil feedstock, separating the produced effluent into a first, second, and third product stream, and hydrogenating the third product stream in a third reactor over a noble metal hydrogenation catalyst at an operational pressure equal to or less than the second reactor.

HIERARCHICAL ZEOLITE Y AND NANO-SIZED ZEOLITE BETA COMPOSITE

A method is provided for forming composite of nano-sized zeolite beta and hierarchical zeolite Y. The method includes synthesizing a hierarchical zeolite Y, synthesizing a gel of a nano-sized zeolite beta, forming a slurry of the nano-sized zeolite beta from the gel, and mixing the hierarchical zeolite Y with the slurry to form a composite. The composite is dried and an extrudable paste is formed from the dried composite. The extrudable paste is extruded to form extrudates, which are calcined to form calcined extrudates.

HYDROCARBON CONVERSION CATALYST COMPOSITION

A hydrocarbon conversion catalyst composition which comprises ZSM-48 and/or EU-2 zeolite particles and refractory oxide binder essentially free of alumina in which the average aluminium concentration of the ZSM-48 and/or EU-2 zeolite particles is at least 1.3 times the aluminium concentration at the surface of the particles, processes for preparing such catalyst compositions and processes for converting hydrocarbon feedstock with the help of such compositions.
