Breakover release pin
A system and method are disclosed which prevent structural damage to a chair footrest in an aircraft. Aircraft typically include release pins which when pulled out of apertures at different angular positions on arms existing on each side of the seat frame enable a user to set the footrest at different angular positions. To avoid overloading, the pin has been included in a pivotable housing on an axle. Resistance against rotation of the pin is provided using a torsion spring. This enables the resistance to be set at a level that allows the pin to break out to prevent overloading.
Modular assembly for high leg row seating
A modular base system is provided that allows easy installation and maintenance in a row of motion seating units. Arms are easily removable from a base assembly. The base assembly also provides structure allowing easy installation and removal of the motion mechanism. The base assembly also allows easy installation and removal of a back panel. The motion mechanism includes a pivotal seat frame attachment allowing the seat to be pivoted upwardly, from the front of the mechanism.
WORKSTATION
A workstation is presented. In one embodiment, the workstation comprises a backrest angularly coupled to a seat at a designated recline angle, the backrest comprising a raised spine rest portion, centered laterally in the middle of said backrest, and extending longitudinally along a designated length of said backrest; the spine rest portion further comprises a recessed channel portion therein for receiving one or more spinous processes of the user therein, a neck rest comprising one of more vibrating nodes thereon configured to engage with the back of the user's neck; and a footrest adjustably tilted and coupled to said base, the footrest having two vibrating nodes thereon, each vibrating node positioned for receiving the ball of a foot of the user thereon; a display mount rigidly coupled to the back of the backrest; a keyboard mount and a mouse platform.
FURNITURE SYSTEM
In a furniture system with an electrically adjustable piece of furniture, a system component and an energy transmission device, the piece of furniture has at least one actuator for adjusting the piece of furniture and a controller for controlling the actuator. The energy transmission device is arranged on or in the piece of furniture and is adapted to receive energy from a supply network and to deliver it wirelessly. The system component has an electrical energy store for supplying voltage to the system component and a charging circuit for charging the energy store. The charging circuit is adapted to at least partially receive the energy output from the energy transmission device without physical contact with the energy transmission device and to use it to charge the energy store.
Wall hugger recliner
A wall hugger recliner with zero space technology includes a frame for placing on a floor, a seat, a backrest, a foot support, and a foot support adjustment mechanism having a first mechanical rod assembly and a first actuator for deploying and retracting the foot support. A seat backrest adjustment mechanism includes a second mechanical rod assembly for adjusting the seat and the backrest with an upright basic position into a horizontal position, wherein the seat backrest adjustment mechanism has a second actuator for adjusting the seat and the backrest.
Deployable footrest
A deployable footrest assembly for a seat is provided. The deployable footrest assembly comprises a footrest movable between a stowed position and a deployed position in which the footrest presents a first surface for an occupant of the seat to rest their feet upon, wherein the footrest is bendable about an upstanding structural support for the seat such that the footrest is bent about the structural support in the stowed position.
Person lifting assembly
A person lifting assembly to assist a person who has fallen get to a standing position includes a plurality of legs that define a first set of legs and a second set of legs. Each of the legs has a telescopically adjustable height. A base is attached to each set of legs such that the base has an adjustable height. A pair of armrests that have an adjustable height is included. Each of the armrests is attached to and extends between one of the sets of legs. A plurality of lifting units where each of the legs has a lifting unit mounted therein that extends into an associated one of the pair of armrests. Each of the lifting units extends or retracts an associated one of the legs with respect to the base to lift or lower the base with respect to the floor surface.
FOOT AND LEG SUPPORT DEVICE FOR A CHAIR
A foot and/or leg support device for a chair, the chair including a central post having a base, a seat supported by the central post, and a plurality of support legs which branch from the base of the central post. In an example, the support device includes: a connector for attachment to the central post of the chair, wherein the connector comprises a circular interior having a radius of curvature substantially equal to a radius of the central post of the chair; a cantilever arm which extends from the connector; a pivot which connects the cantilever arm to the connector, the pivot being configured for vertical pivoting; and a support frame located at a distal end of the cantilever arm for supporting a foot and/or leg of a user.
RECLINING CHAIR
Furniture is described having an extendable footrest. The footrest has a main panel and a flipper panel. In an extended position of the footrest, the top surfaces of the panels are approximately horizontal and co-planar, the main panel being proximate to a seat portion of the furniture. In a retracted position of the footrest, the top surface of the main panel is approximately vertical and the top surface of the flipper panel is approximately horizontal and facing in a downward direction. The footrest projects substantially 20 or more from the front of the seat portion in the extended position, and substantially 7 or less is provided between the floor and the apparent bottom edge of the footrest when retracted.
Powered chairs for public venues, assemblies for use in powered chairs, and components for use in assemblies for use in powered chairs
Powered recliner chairs, assemblies for use in the chairs, and components for use in the assemblies are provided. Electrical systems for use in the chairs, and components for use in the electrical systems are provided. Control systems and methods for operating powered recliner chairs are also provided. Any given chair may be locally and/or remotely controlled.
