Eternal chair
The eternal chair will function as an aid for young and old as a lift chair. The eternal chair is the first recliner/lift chair with no mechanism and a removable seat cushion. Each function of the eternal chair is controlled separately. The eternal chair could be used for obesity and or have the capability to fit the needs of those who are suffering from back injury or medical recovery.
Recliner footrest extension system and method
A recliner footrest extension system includes a base-member, and an extension-member. The base-member includes a top-panel, a bottom-panel, and a side-panel in one embodiment. The top-panel, the bottom-panel, and the side-panel are structured and arranged to affix to a recliner footrest by sliding upon the recliner footrest and held upon the footrest by friction. The extension-member is affixed to the base-member by a hinge, with the extension member arranged to support at least one foot of a user when the recliner footrest extension system is in an extended condition.
SEAT FITTING
A seat fitting for seating furniture is provided, including a base frame, a sliding frame movably arranged relative to the base frame, and at least one linear drive which acts on a paired drive shaft in order to move a component or an assembly of the seat fitting, e.g., a foot part, a backrest part, or a stand-up aid, back and forth between an extended position and a retracted position relative to the base frame and/or the sliding frame. This allows a variable design and a retroactively simple adaptation on demand because the base frame, the sliding frame, the drive shaft, and the linear drive form a functional base unit which can be assembled in a modular manner to form a complete seat fitting with a foot part, a backrest part, a stand-up aid, and/or a seat frame provided for the sliding frame.
Power adjustment and safety systems for power motion furniture
The present invention relates to safety mats for power motion furniture, power motion furniture systems comprising electronic architecture including the safety mats, and methods of using the same. In particular, the present invention provides object sensing safety mats for use with power motion furniture wherein the safety mats sense obstructions of movement between an extended or raised configuration of the power motion furniture and prevents movement or return of the extended or raised configuration when an obstruction is detected.
Footrest apparatus
The present disclosure provides a footrest including: a bracket that has a plurality of wings and that is coupled to a back of a seat, the plurality of wings spaced apart at a predetermined distance from each other and extending rearward; an actuating unit to rotate a rotary shaft hingedly coupled to the plurality of wings; and a panel that is coupled to the rotary shaft and is folded or unfolded toward or away from a seatback when the rotary shaft is rotated.
SEAT FOOTREST
A seat footrest includes a footpad having a supporting plate under a cushioned top side, an arcuate member mechanically coupled to the plate by a first end and pivotally coupled to a seat frame by a second end. The arcuate member is adapted for pivoting the footpad between a stowed position and one or more deployed positions. A lock pin is provided for releasably inserting into a first notch of the arcuate member for securing the footpad in the stowed position and one or more additional notches of the arcuate member for securing the footpad in the one or more deployed positions. A first biasing member is adapted for initiating deployment of the footpad upon release of the lock pin from the first notch, and a second biasing member is adapted for completing deployment of the footpad by raising the footpad to the one or more deployed positions.
POWER-ASSISTED RECLINING LIFT CHAIR WITH SPLIT SEAT
A seating unit includes: a base; a frame including opposed arms; a backrest; a seat, the seat including a front portion and a rear portion; a footrest; a lift mechanism attached to the base, the frame and the seat; a lift drive unit attached to the lift mechanism; a reclining mechanism attached to the seat and the backrest; a recline drive unit attached to the reclining mechanism; a footrest mechanism attached to the base and the footrest; and a footrest drive unit attached to the footrest mechanism. The lift mechanism controls the movement of the frame, seat and backrest between an upright position and a lift position. The reclining mechanism is configured to control the movement of the backrest and seat between the upright position and a reclined position. The footrest mechanism is configured to control the movement of the footrest between the upright position and an extended position.
Modular cinema lounge chair
A modular cinema lounge chair including a seat member, a back and headrest support member that is adapted to be rockably and/or controllably and lockably displaceable between an upright/retracted position and a reclined/extended position, a left arm, a right arm, a floor-engaging frame sub-assembly, a left side, a right side, a front side or optional leg rest that is controllably and lockably displaceable between a lowered/retracted position and a raised/extended position via a hydraulic cylinder or electric motor, and a back side, wherein the frame sub-assembly includes a clean, simplified, and extremely sturdy structure which is adapted to accommodate the wear and tear associated with high volume use in today's cinemas, theaters, and auditoriums.
MECHANICAL EXTENDING LINKAGE AND SEATING UNIT COMPRISING THE SAME
The present invention provides a mechanical extending linkage configured to be mounted in a seating unit capable of being movable between a retracted position and an extended position and comprising a seat, a backrest and extendable primary and secondary footrests. The mechanical extending linkage comprises a footrest assembly for extending and retracting the primary footrest and the secondary footrest, the footrest assembly comprising a primary footrest link, a secondary footrest link, and an intermediate link set having a first intermediate link, a second intermediate link, a third intermediate link and a fourth intermediate link; the footrest assembly is configured in such a manner that the secondary footrest link, the first intermediate link and the second intermediate link are arranged substantially parallel with the seat when the seating unit is in the retracted position. The present invention further provides a seating unit comprising the mechanical extending linkages.
