CONVERSION OF AROMATIC COMPLEX BOTTOMS TO USEFUL PRODUCTS IN AN INTEGRATED REFINERY PROCESS

Systems and integrated methods are disclosed for processing aromatic complex bottoms into high value products. The system includes an adsorption column, the adsorption column in fluid communication with an aromatics complex and operable to receive and remove polyaromatics from an aromatic bottoms stream. The adsorption column producing a cleaned aromatic bottoms stream with reduced polyaromatic content and a reject stream including the removed polyaromatics. In some embodiments, the reject stream is recycled for further processing, passed to a coke production unit to produce high quality coke, or both.

Process to improve the stability of thermally cracked petroleum products

A process for forming a petroleum product includes introducing a feed stream of a petroleum feedstock to a supercritical water reactor. The feed stream is reacted with supercritical water in the supercritical water reactor, thereby forming a supercritical water reactor effluent. The supercritical water reactor effluent is introduced to a separator to separate the supercritical water reactor effluent into a light stream and a heavy stream. At least a portion of the light stream is introduced to a reformer to concentrate aromatics in the at least a portion of the light stream, thereby forming a reformer effluent. The reformer effluent is mixed with the heavy stream.

Processes for an improvement to gasoline octane for long-chain paraffin feed streams

Methods for making higher-octane fuel components from a feed stream of C8+ paraffins, including catalytically cracking the C8+ paraffins using a Zeolite catalyst to produce a reaction product of mid-chain paraffins and olefins and short-chain paraffins and olefins. The reaction product comprises liquid phase paraffins having an increased Octane Value over the feed stream paraffins. The reaction product further comprises a gas phase of short-chain paraffins which are separated from the liquid phase. In embodiments, the short chain olefins are hydrogenated to form mid-chain paraffins and a gas phase containing short-chain paraffins.

Processes and systems are disclosed for improving the yield from reforming processes. Aromatic complex bottoms, or a heavy fraction thereof, are subjected to hydrogenation/hydrocracking, followed by catalytic conversion, to produce additional gasoline and higher-quality aromatic compounds.

PROCESS OF PRODUCING LIGHT OLEFINS AND AROMATICS FROM WIDE RANGE BOILING POINT NAPHTHA

Systems and methods for processing full range naphtha to produce light olefins are disclosed. The systems and methods include separating the full range naphtha into a light naphtha stream and a heavy naphtha stream and integrating a catalytic cracking with a naphtha reforming to process the light naphtha and heavy naphtha streams.

Reforming process with improved heater integration

A method and apparatus for processing a hydrocarbon stream are described. The method includes heating a feed stream in a convective bank. The heated feed stream is reacted in a first reaction zone to form a first effluent, which is heated in a first radiant cell. The first radiant cell combusts fuel to heat the first effluent and forms a first exhaust gas. The first exhaust gas is contacted with the convective bank to heat the feed stream. The outlet temperature the heated feed stream from the convective bank is controlled by introducing an additional gas stream into the convective bank. There can be additional reaction zones and radiant heaters.
