Body support assembly and methods for the use and assembly thereof
A body support assembly includes a seat assembly and backrest assembly supported by a tilt control assembly. Methods of using and assembling the body support assembly are provided.
Pivot fitting and piece of furniture
A pivot fitting for moveable furniture parts on upholstered furniture has a first lever and a second lever that are mounted to as to pivot relative to each other about a common axis from a basic position through a predetermined angle. The pivot fitting also includes a clamping mechanism with which the two levers can be fixed relative to each other at different angular positions within the predetermined angle, the clamping mechanism has a toothing attached in a rotationally fixed manner on the second lever, at least one catch that is pivotally mounted on the first lever and loaded in the direction of the toothing, the catch engaging with the toothing in a detent position. A first control disc is mounted so as to pivot about the common axis, with which the at least one catch is disengageable from the toothing when the predetermined angle has been passed from the basic position into an adjusting direction, such that when the catch is disengaged from the toothing, the two levers can be pivoted back into the basic position when the predetermined angle is passed in a resetting direction. The first control disc can be carried by the toothing, resting thereon with a friction fit, and is mounted so as to pivot about a switching angle relative to the first lever and wherein a second control disc mounted so as to pivot about the common axis can be carried by the toothing and is mounted so as to pivot about a switching angle relative to the toothing.
Chair assembly with limb platform
A chair assembly includes a seat with a top side and a bottom side. The seat is connected to a telescoping arm that has a first end and a second end. The first end of the arm is connected to the bottom side of the seat. A platform having a top side and a bottom side is attached to the second end of the arm. The height of the platform is adjustable via the telescoping arm.
Easily assembled chair armrest
An easily assembled chair armrest composed an armrest support, a connecting portion, and an armrest revealed. The connecting portion with a lock head is selectively disposed on the armrest or the armrest support while a locking hole is arranged at the armrest or the armrest support without the connecting portion. A locking slot communicates with the inner side of the locking hole. The armrest and the armrest support are in a first assembled state when the lock head is mounted into the locking slot through the lock hole. Then the lock head is horizontally rotated a staggered angle within the locking slot so that a lengthwise central axis of the armrest and a lengthwise central axis of the armrest support are coupled. Now the armrest and the armrest support are fastened into one part to be in a second assembled state. Thereby both structural strength and tightness are improved.
Armrest
An armrest according to the technology described herein includes a bracket, an armrest body, a device connecting port, an armrest-side connector, and a cable. The bracket is fixed to a seat frame. The armrest body is attached to the bracket to be rotatable. The device connecting port is exposed through an outer surface of the armrest body. The armrest-side connector is fixed to the seat frame at a position different from the bracket. The cable includes an end connected to the device connecting port and an end connected to an armrest-side connector. The armrest body includes a cable retaining portion through which the cable is passed and in which the cable is retained. Any one of the bracket and the armrest body includes a hole (an elongated hole) that allows movement of the cable along with rotation of the armrest body.
Chair configured for progressive reclination and conversion between multiple use and/or storage positions, and a method of use thereof
A chair preferably configured for conversion between a preferred storage configuration and at least one preferred use configuration. When in one of the use configurations, the chair may have a recliner mechanism which allows the angle of the back support assembly relative to the seat frame to be progressively changed such that the back support assembly may be positioned at a reclined angular position. When in the preferred storage configuration, the back support assembly may be positioned at least partially within the seat frame to decrease the area of the footprint of the chair to facilitate storage of the chair.
SEATING FURNITURE CHASSIS
A seating furniture chassis comprises a base body, a fastener arranged on the base body and comprising a fastening element and a spring element that exerts a spring force on the fastening element, and at least one side part releasably fastenable to the fastener, wherein the fastening element is moved counter to the spring force upon fastening of the side part to the fastener.
VEHICLE ARMREST WITH AUTOMATIC RETRACTION
An armrest release mechanism includes a pivot bush. A release bracket is fixed to the pivot bush. An armrest pivot is supported on the pivot bush for relative rotational movement. A release board is also supported on the pivot bush for relative rotational movement. The release board is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. An armrest lock is attached to the release bracket for relative movement. The armrest lock is also attached to the release board. When the release board is in the locked position the armrest lock is engaged with the armrest pivot to prevent movement of the armrest pivot relative to the pivot bush. When the release board is in the unlocked position the armrest lock is not engaged with the armrest pivot.
SEATING ARRANGEMENT
A seating arrangement includes a seat portion, a back portion, a support member caused to move between first and second positions, and a back recline lock arrangement that includes an actuator, a lock member caused to move between a locked position when the actuator is in an engaged position where the lock member prevents the support member from moving from the first position toward the second position, and an unlocked position when the actuator is in a disengaged position, and wherein the actuator is configured to move from the disengaged position to the engaged position when the chair back is in the reclined position, and the lock member is prevented from moving from the unlocked position to the locked position until the back assembly is moved from the reclined position to the upright position.
