A unitary dining unit combining table functions and seating, which dining unit solves the above stated problems, is disclosed. The novel dining unit may be oblong, with opposed convex surfaces, to enable occupants to easily view one another, and to assist in fitting the table or desk efficiently within a square or rectangular room of a building. The unitary dining unit integrates a work surface, e.g., a table or desk surface, with seating. The integrated seating has support arms connecting the seating to the table portion, and maintaining all portions of each seat above the floor, thereby leaving space for and facilitating floor cleaning in the area of the furniture. A perimetric wall serves as an aesthetic skirt concealing seat anchorage elements and other utilitarian components from external view.

Aircraft seat device including force transferring carrier element

An aircraft seat device includes at least one seat bottom unit, a mounting unit, and at least one carrier element. The at least one seat bottom unit at least partly implements a seat surface. The at least one carrier element couples the seat bottom unit with the mounting unit and transfers force from the seat bottom unit to the mounting unit.

An activities unit combining a table or other horizontal surface with seating units is shown and described. Seating units may include both permanent or fixed individual seating units and also, at least one additional seating unit movable between a stowed position to a deployed position. Both permanent or fixed seating units and also stowable seating units may each be supported on the activities unit by an arm above floor level. This enables ready cleaning of a floor surface on which the unitized table is placed without having to move seating units out of the way. Construction of the unitized table enables utilitarian components and features which may be deemed unsightly to be concealed, for example, by wood paneling both at a table top and also a depending wall. The table top may overhang the depending wall.

A motion simulator chair has a base and a seat. An actuator assembly is between the base and the seat, the actuator assembly including a frame connected to the base, a carrier connected to the seat. A linear actuator is operatively connected to the frame and to the carrier by a mechanism, the linear actuator operable to cause a movement of the carrier relative to the frame, the movement being at least partially vertical. A direction of movement of the linear actuator lies in a transverse plane that is between 15 degrees and 165 degrees from a vertical frontal plane of the motion simulator chair

A control system for a lifting chair includes: a button (101), a sensor (102), an actuator (104) and a control circuit (103); the button (101) is disposed on an edge of a seat back (301) of a main body (30) of the lifting chair; the sensor (102) is configured to detect whether the seat portion (303) provided on a lifting frame (20) of the lifting chair is pressed; the actuator (104) is configured to drive the lifting frame (20); the control circuit (103) is connected to the button (101), the sensor (102), and the actuator (104) respectively; and the control circuit (103) is configured to, after the button (101) is triggered, control the actuator (104) according to a pressure condition of the seat portion (303) to drive the lifting frame (20) to adjust the posture of the main body (30).

Furniture member with adjustable seat depth

A furniture member may include a seat base frame, a seat bottom, and a seatback. The seat bottom may be attached to the seat base frame. The seatback may be attached to the seat base frame and may include a seatback frame and a seat-depth-adjustment mechanism. The seat-depth-adjustment mechanism may include a backrest support member and a seat-depth-adjustment actuator. The seat-depth-adjustment actuator may be mounted to the seatback frame and may be drivingly coupled to the backrest support member to move the backrest support member relative to the seatback frame and the seat bottom between a retracted position and an extended position.

10524575 · 2020-01-07 · ·

A rocking furniture member may include a base frame, a seat assembly, a legrest mechanism, and a pawl assembly. The seat assembly may include a ratchet rack having a plurality of teeth. The pawl assembly may include a support link, a pawl arm, and an actuation link. The support link is rotatably coupled to the base frame. The pawl arm is rotatably attached to the support link and selectively engages one of the ratchet teeth. The actuation link may be attached to the pawl arm and may be coupled to the legrest mechanism such that movement of the legrest mechanism into the extended position moves the pawl arm into engagement with the ratchet rack and movement of the legrest mechanism toward the retracted position causes rotation of the pawl arm relative to the support link and disengages the pawl arm from the ratchet rack.
