According to one or more embodiments, presently disclosed are processes for producing petrochemical products from a hydrocarbon material. The process may include separating the hydrocarbon material into at least a lesser boiling point fraction and a greater boiling point fraction, combining steam with the greater boiling point fraction upstream of the cracking of the lesser boiling point fraction, cracking at least a portion of the greater boiling point fraction in the presence of a first catalyst to produce a first cracking reaction product, cracking at least a portion of the lesser boiling point fraction in the presence of a second catalyst in an environment comprising less than 0.1 mol. % water to produce a second cracking reaction product, and separating the petrochemical products from one or both of the first cracking reaction product or the second cracking reaction product.

PROCESS FOR THE HYDRODESULFURIZATION OF SULFUR-CONTAINING OLEFINIC GASOLINE CUTS USING A REGENERATED CATALYST

The invention relates to a process for the hydrodesulfurization of a sulfur-containing olefinic gasoline cut in which said gasoline cut, hydrogen and a regenerated catalyst are brought into contact, said process being carried out at a temperature of between 200° C. and 400° C., a total pressure of between 1 and 3 MPa, an hourly space velocity, defined as being the flow rate by volume of feedstock relative to the volume of catalyst, of between 1 and 10 h.sup.−1; and a hydrogen/gasoline feedstock ratio by volume of between 100 and 1200 Sl/l, said regenerated catalyst resulting from an at least partially spent catalyst resulting from a process for the hydrodesulfurization of a sulfur-containing olefinic gasoline cut and comprises at least one metal from group VIII, at least one metal from group VIb and an oxide support.

Fluid catalytic cracking processes and apparatus

Apparatus and processes herein provide for converting hydrocarbon feeds to light olefins and other hydrocarbons. The processes and apparatus include a conventional riser reactor in combination with a mixed flow (e.g., including both counter-current and co-current catalyst flows) fluidized bed reactor designed for maximizing light olefins production. The effluents from the riser reactor and mixed flow reactor are processed in a catalyst disengagement vessel, and the catalysts used in each reactor may be regenerated in a common catalyst regeneration vessel. Further, integration of the two-reactor scheme with a catalyst cooler provides a refinery the flexibility of switching the operation between the two-reactor flow scheme, a catalyst cooler only flow scheme, or using both simultaneously.

STEAM-ENHANCED CATALYTIC CRACKING OF HYDROCARBONS TO PRODUCE LIGHT OLEFINS

A steam-assisted catalytic cracking process for a hydrocarbon feed is provided. The process includes: introducing the hydrocarbon feed, a fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) catalyst, and steam to a FCC reactor with a mass ratio of steam to hydrocarbon feed between 0.05 and 1.0; cracking the hydrocarbon feed in the presence of the FCC catalyst and steam to produce a cracked hydrocarbon feed and spent FCC catalyst, the spent FCC catalyst comprising coke deposits and hydrocarbon deposits; stripping the hydrocarbon deposits from the spent FCC catalyst with steam in a stripper to obtain a hydrocarbon-stripped spent FCC catalyst; regenerating the hydrocarbon-stripped spent FCC catalyst in a regenerator by subjecting the stripped spent FCC catalyst to heat in the presence of oxygen to combust the coke deposits on the stripped spent FCC catalyst and produce a regenerated FCC catalyst; recycling the regenerated FCC catalyst.

According to one or more embodiments, petrochemical products may be formed from a hydrocarbon material by a method that includes separating crude oil into at least two or more fractions in an atmospheric distillation column, hydrotreating the atmospheric residue to form a hydrotreated atmospheric residue, combining steam with the hydrotreated atmospheric residue, and cracking at least a portion of the hydrotreated atmospheric residue in the presence of a first catalyst to produce a cracking reaction product.

A process for catalytic cracking of hydrocarbon oils includes the step of contacting a hydrocarbon oil feedstock with a catalytic cracking catalyst in a reactor comprising a dilute-phase transport fluidized bed and a fast fluidized bed connected in series for reaction. In the fast fluidized bed, the axial solid fraction c of the catalyst is controlled within the range of about 0.1 to about 0.2. When used for catalytic cracking of hydrocarbon oil feedstocks, particularly heavy feedstock oils, the process and system show lower yields of dry gas and coke, and good product distribution.

A system for producing a hydrocarbon by high-temperature Fischer-Tropsch synthesis is described. The system includes a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis unit, a reaction water separation unit, and a catalyst reduction unit. The catalyst reduction unit uses a gas containing the tail gas of the synthesis unit as a reducing gas and a small amount of synthesis gas for adjusting the hydrogen to carbon ratio, to react with the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalyst. After the reduction reaction, the reacted gas is cooled to room temperature, and enters a gas-liquid separator to obtain a gas phase and a liquid phase. The gas phase flows to a cryogenic separation unit to recover gaseous hydrocarbons. The liquid phase is separated into reaction water and Fischer-Tropsch oil products. The reduced catalyst is sent to the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis unit. The catalyst reduction unit achieves high energy efficiency, product diversity, and risk resistance.

PRODUCTION OF LIGHT OLEFINS FROM CRUDE OIL VIA FLUID CATALYTIC CRACKING PROCESS AND APPARATUS

A reactor system configured for efficiently removing contaminants (CCR, nickel, vanadium, nitrogen, sodium, iron, calcium, chlorine etc.) from a heavy portion of the crude oil. The products are routed to a common main fractionation section. The heavy feed with lower contaminants may then be processed in a fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) unit, the overall concept employing a fluid catalytic reaction platform with carbon rejection approach.
