There is provided an outdoor seat collapsible from an open position to a closed position. The seat including: a back rest that rotates until the back rest abuts a top of a seat rest to move to the closed position; a plurality of legs connected to the seat rest, the back rest, or both; and a front flap rotatably connected to the back rest or the seat rest, the front flap rotates to cover front facing portions of the back rest and the seat rest while in the closed position. Also provided is a hinge assembly, including an elongated hinge that defines a hole proximate to a first end and a slot proximate to a second end; the hole receives a first pin to permit rotation of a first portion, the slot receives a second pin to permit rotation and lateral movement of the hinge relative to a second portion.

A rear suspension member is suspended from the support frame and connected to the seat behind a rear lower hinge. The rear lower hinge pivotally connects the seatback panel to the seat middle panel. The seat optionally includes a seat frame having fabric mounted to the seat frame. Optionally, a canopy can be mounted above the swing chair. Preferably, an armrest is connected in a four bar mechanism relationship with the seat.

The holder assembly defines a fold out fishing rod holding structure that can hold fishing rods at a desirable angle without requiring ongoing user attention. The shade assembly includes a roll out shade having integrated lighting elements so as to improve comfort in direct sunlight and low lighting conditions. The holder assembly and shade assembly can both be moved to a retracted position in which the base seat can be folded into a closed configuration sized substantially the same as a folded conventional fold out chair.

This invention describes a protective cover for a wheelchair user, which comprises a frame structure, a fabric hood, and a curtain. The frame structure is attached to the body or handles of a wheelchair and hangs over the user sitting in the wheelchair. The fabric hood is waterproof and covers the top of the frame structure. A curtain made of transparent plastics or mesh screen is attached to the fabric hood or the frame structure and hangs down from the top in all directions to enclose the wheelchair user to near ground level and protect the user from rain, wind, bugs, sun, or other undesired outdoor conditions.
