PROCESS
A process for the manufacture of one or more useful products comprises: gasifying a carbonaceous feedstock comprising waste materials and/or biomass in a gasification zone to generate a raw synthesis gas; supplying at least a portion of the raw synthesis gas to a clean-up zone to remove contaminants and provide a clean synthesis gas; supplying the clean synthesis gas to a first further reaction train to generate at least one first useful product and a tailgas; and diverting selectively on demand a portion of at least one of the carbonaceous feedstock, the clean synthesis gas, the tailgas and the light gas fraction to heat or power generation within the process, in response to external factors to control the carbon intensity of the overall process and enable GHG emission savings.
GAS GENERATING PLANT AND GAS GENERATION PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF HYDROGEN-CONTAINING SYNTHESIS GAS
A gas generation plant for generating hydrogen-containing synthesis gas includes a gas generation reactor which is oriented in the vertical direction being greater in length vertically than width. A gas inlet is designed for the passage of superheated water vapor into the gas generation reactor. Through an upper outlet, a gas/water vapor mixture can exit the gas generation reactor and be reused in the second heating element after having been superheated. Synthesis gas can exit through a lower gas outlet. In the vertical direction, the gas inlet is arranged at a smaller distance from the lower end than the lower gas outlet. The upper gas outlet is arranged at a smaller vertical distance from the upper end than the lower gas outlet. The vertical distance between the upper gas outlet and the lower gas outlet is greater than the vertical distance between the lower gas outlet and the gas inlet.
Gasification apparatus with controller for negative pressure
A gasification apparatus has a primary chamber with a floor comprising a hearth and feedstock augers, for gasification of feedstock. There is a mixing chamber for receiving through an opening synthetic gases from the primary chamber and comprising an air inlet fan for adding oxygen for ignition. There is also a secondary chamber linked with the mixing chamber to deliver heat from combustion of gases from the mixing chamber to the hearth. An outlet valve delivers gases from the secondary chamber through a heat exchanger and to an induce draft fan. A controller dynamically controls flow of gases in the chambers according to sensed pressures and temperatures in said chambers.
Medical Waste Treatment System and Method
A medical zero emission waste system comprising a medical waste treatment unit that couples to a medical facility. The medical waste treatment unit is onsite to the medical facility for processing medical waste generated by the medical facility. The medical waste treatment unit comprises a gasification reactor, a syngas treatment unit, and a synthetic fuel generator for treating and converting medical waste. The synthetic fuel generator comprises an electrolysis unit and a liquid fuel synthesis unit. The medical waste treatment unit converts the medical waste to synthetic fuel, gaseous fuel, oxygen, heat, slag, and other components that are useful to the medical facility or other entities. The medical waste treatment system uses carbon dioxide generated during a medical waste conversion process thereby producing substantially zero emissions and eliminating medical waste that could be harmful to the environment.
Apparatus for fuel gas production and combustion
An apparatus for fuel gas production and combustion comprises a solid fuel feeding unit for receiving and feeding solid fuel; a gas producing unit being connected to the solid fuel feeding unit for receiving solid fuel from the solid fuel feeding unit; an air feeding unit connected to the gas producing unit for feeding air to the gas producing unit to cause a gasification reaction; an ash trapping unit connected to the gas producing unit for separating fly ash and dust from the fuel gas; a burner unit connected to the ash trapping unit for combusting the fuel gas; and an ash discharging unit connected to the gas producing unit and ash trapping unit and comprising a bottom ash discharging part and a fly ash discharging part, characterized in that the air feeding unit comprises a plurality of air feeding parts wherein at least one air feeding part being connected to the gas producing unit and at least one air feeding part being connected to the ash trapping unit.

Methods and apparatus may permit the generation of consistent output synthesis gas from highly variable input feedstock solids carbonaceous materials. A stoichiometric objectivistic chemic environment may be established to stoichiometrically control carbon content in a solid carbonaceous materials gasifier system. Processing of carbonaceous materials may include dominative pyrolytic decomposition and multiple coil carbonaceous reformation. Dynamically adjustable process determinative parameters may be utilized to refine processing, including process utilization of negatively electrostatically enhanced water species, process utilization of flue gas, and adjustment of process flow rate characteristics. Recycling may be employed for internal reuse of process materials, including recycled negatively electrostatically enhanced water species, recycled flue gas, and recycled contaminants. Synthesis gas generation may involve predetermining a desired synthesis gas for output and creating high yields of such a predetermined desired synthesis gas.

Virtual landfill terminal
Handling of municipal solid waste (MSW) is described. A method for handling MSW in a single waste processing facility includes receiving the MSW at the waste processing facility. The MSW is separated into biomass, recyclables, and plastics. The biomass is processed at the waste processing facility to produce syngas using a gasifier. The plastics are also processed at the waste processing facility to produce naphtha, diesel fuel, and/or lubricants. Waste heat from the processing of the biomass and from the processing of the plastics is captured and used in the generating of electricity at the waste processing facility. Facilities for handling MSW are also described.
