The invention relates to the field of gasification of a carbonaceous feedstock and can be used in the chemical, petrochemical, coke-gas and energy industries. A method for gasification of a carbonaceous feedstock comprises partial oxidation of the carbonaceous feedstock in an oxidation chamber in a mixture of oxygen-containing gas and water vapour in a partial oxidation channel, which is mounted coaxially in the vertical oxidation chamber. The water vapour for the partial oxidation of the carbonaceous feedstock is supplied at the input and output of the vertical oxidation chamber of a combustion chamber. A gas producer comprises a housing, a burner device, a vertical oxidation chamber, manifolds for supplying carbonaceous feedstock, water vapour and oxygen-containing gas, a pipe for discharging gasification products, a slag removal chamber, and also a partial oxidation channel, which is arranged coaxially in the vertical oxidation chamber and is attached to an upper internal part of the housing, in which the burner device is installed. What is achieved is the production of producer gas with an elevated concentration of hydrogen.

The temporary holding section has a vessel (111)(121) and a discharge section (119)(129) for discharging the heat carriers. A baffle (115)(125) within the vessel (111)(121) is provided to form a gap between the main body of the baffle and the interior side wall of the vessel, for the heat carriers (30) to pass through. Alternatively, piping (131)(141) may be provided on the interior side walls of the vessel (111)(121) for passage of the heat carriers.

PRODUCTION METHOD FOR ORGANIC SUBSTANCE AND ORGANIC SUBSTANCE PRODUCTION DEVICE

The production method for an organic substance comprises: a step of feeding waste (G0) to a dryer (13); a step of drying the waste (G0) by the dryer (13); a step of feeding the waste (G0) dried by the dryer (13) to a gasifier (14); a step of gasifying the waste (G0) by the gasifier (14) to generate synthetic gas (G1); and a step of bringing the synthetic gas (G1) into contact with a microbial catalyst to generate an organic substance.

PROCESS TO PREPARE AN ACTIVATED CARBON PRODUCT AND A SYNGAS MIXTURE

The invention is directed to a process to prepare an activated carbon product and a gaseous fraction comprising hydrogen, carbon monoxide and a mixture of gaseous organic compounds from a solid torrefied biomass feed comprising the following steps. (i) subjecting the solid biomass feed to a pyrolysis reaction thereby obtaining a gaseous fraction comprising hydrogen, carbon monoxide and a mixture of gaseous organic compounds and a solid fraction comprising of char particles. (ii) separating the solids fraction from the gaseous fraction. and (iii) activating the char particles as obtained in step (ii) to obtain the activated carbon product.

Renewable electricity conversion of liquid fuels from hydrocarbon feedstocks

Embodiments include a method for converting renewable energy source electricity and a hydrocarbon feedstock into a liquid fuel by providing a source of renewable electrical energy in communication with a synthesis gas generation unit and an air separation unit. Oxygen from the air separation unit and a hydrocarbon feedstock is provided to the synthesis gas generation unit, thereby causing partial oxidation reactions in the synthesis gas generation unit in a process that converts the hydrocarbon feedstock into synthesis gas. The synthesis gas is then converted into a liquid fuel.

Process to prepare a char product and a syngas mixture

The invention is directed to a process to prepare a char product and a syngas mixture comprising hydrogen and carbon monoxide from a solid torrefied biomass feed comprising the following steps: (i) subjecting the solid biomass feed to a pyrolysis reaction thereby obtaining a gaseous fraction comprising hydrogen, carbon monoxide and a mixture of gaseous organic compounds and a solid fraction comprising of char particles; (ii) separating the char particles as the char product from the gaseous fraction; (iii) subjecting the gaseous fraction obtained in step (ii) to a continuously operated partial oxidation to obtain a syngas mixture further comprising water and having an elevated temperature and (iv) contacting the syngas mixture with a carbonaceous compound to chemically quench the syngas mixture. The temperature of the syngas is reduced in step (iv) from between 1000 and 1600° C. to a temperature of between 800 and 1200° C.

Vertical pyrolysis reactor with precise control

The present invention relates to a vertical pyrolysis reactor, including a reactor shell, a feeding device, a biomass gas outlet on the top of the reactor, an ash discharging device on the bottom of the reactor, and a grate inside the reactor. The feeding device is located on the bottom of the reactor, and an outlet of the feeding device is located in a central region of the bottom in the reactor for uniform material distribution. A slag breaking device is mounted in the pyrolysis reactor, forming an organic combination with the rotating grate. The output is adjustable through the operating speed of the grate. Precise control of a pyrolysis reaction is realized by controlling the feeding speed, discharging speed, material bed thickness, inlet air volume, inlet air distribution, reaction temperature, etc. Biomass having a size up to around 10 cm can be processed effectively and continuously due to the position design of the feeding device in conjunction with the use of the slag breaking device.

Use of fermentation tail gas in integrated gasification and gas fermentation system

The disclosure provides for the separation and combustion of at least one hydrocarbon, oxygenate, sulfur compound, and or nitrogen compound, from industrial gas or gasification derived syngas to generate steam. A gasification process and a gas fermentation process may be integrated using tail gas from the fermentation process for the flame to combust tar and other compounds from the syngas generated by a gasification process. Integration may be achieved by removing tar and other compounds from industrial gas or gasification derived syngas using an adsorbent and regenerating the adsorbent using tail gas from the gas fermentation process. Tail gas enriched with the desorbed tar and other compounds may be used to generate steam in a steam boiler and the steam may be used for a variety of purposes including power generation to power, for example, a compressor of the gas fermentation process.
