BIOMASS PROCESSING DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
Biomass processing devices, systems and methods used to convert biomass to, for example, liquid hydrocarbons, renewable chemicals, and/or composites are described. The biomass processing system can include a pyrolysis device, a hydroprocessor and a gasifier. Biomass, such as wood chips, is fed into the pyrolysis device to produce char and pyrolysis vapors. Pyrolysis vapors are processed in the hydroprocessor, such as a deoxygenation device, to produce hydrocarbons, light gas, and water. Water and char produced by the system can be used in the gasifier to produce carbon monoxide and hydrogen, which may be recycled back to the pyrolysis device and/or hydroprocessor.
Sandwich gasification process for high-efficiency conversion of carbonaceous fuels to clean syngas with zero residual carbon discharge
The present invention discloses a gasifier and/or a gasification process that provides a long, uniform temperature zone in the gasifier, regardless of the particle size, chemical composition, and moisture content of the fuel by sandwiching a reduction zones between two oxidation zones. The gasifier and/or gasification process has a char that is more energy-dense and almost devoid of moisture that affords for an additional (or char) oxidation zone with a temperature that is higher than a first oxidation zone which is closer to a evaporation and devolatilization zone. As such, the additional (or char) oxidation zone contributes to augmenting the reduction zone temperature, thereby providing a favorable dual impact in improving syngas composition and near-complete conversion of the tar.
ELECTRONIC WASTE PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS THEREOF
An electronic waste processing apparatus has a power supply device, a vacuum cracking device, a filter device, and a separation device. The vacuum device is electrically connected to the power supply device, and has a vacuum pump, a vacuum chamber, and a high-frequency furnace body. The vacuum chamber is connected to and communicates with the vacuum pump. The high-frequency furnace body is disposed in the vacuum chamber. The filter device is electrically connected to the power supply device, and is connected to and communicates with the high-frequency furnace body of the vacuum cracking device. The separation device is electrically connected to the power supply device, is connected to and communicates with the vacuum pump and the filter device, and has a condensation cylinder, a cooling cylinder, and an oil storage tank.
Production of renewable fuels and energy by steam/CO2 reforming of wastes
This invention relates to a power recovery process in waste steam/CO.sub.2 reformers in which a waste stream can be made to release energy without having to burn the waste or the syngas. This invention in some embodiments does not make use of fuel cells as a component but makes use of exothermic chemical reactors using syngas to produce heat, such as Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. It also relates to control or elimination of the emissions of greenhouse gases in the power recovery process of this invention with the goal of producing energy in the future carbonless world economy.
CYCLONE INTEGRATED TYPE STORAGE DEVICE, INTEGRATED GASIFICATION COMBINED CYCLE, AND METHOD FOR SEPARATING PARTICLES
A cyclone integrated type storage device that helps to reduce equipment costs, which includes: a hollow pressure vessel; a cyclone provided in a vertically upper part of the pressure vessel and configured to swirl a produced gas introduced from outside and containing particles to thereby separate at least some of char from the produced gas, the cyclone including an opening and an exhaust port, the opening permitting discharge of the separated char vertically downward in the pressure vessel, the exhaust port permitting discharge of the produced gas to the outside of the pressure vessel; a particle storage chamber provided in a vertically lower part of the pressure vessel and storing the char discharged through the opening; and an outlet port formed in a bottom of the pressure vessel and permitting discharge of the particles stored in the particle storage chamber to the outside.
Process and device for treating furnace gas
A process and a device for treating a flow of furnace gas with a pressure of more than 1 bar flowing through a channel. A powder agent, such as a powder comprising alkali reagents, such as lime, and/or absorbents, such as activated coal, is injected under an overpressure into the furnace gas flow via an injector which is positioned centrally within the channel. The powder agent may be fluidized. The pressure for injecting the powder may be adjusted by controlling the volume of fluidization gas vented via a venting outlet.
PROCESSING AND GASIFICATION OF CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION MATERIALS
Methods and systems for processing construction and demolition (C&D) materials to produce a product gas stream and/or electricity are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the method comprises pre-processing C&D materials to produce a C&D feed, and processing the C&D feed to produce syngas. The C&D feed can comprise untreated wood, treated wood, paper and cardboard, yard waste, plastic, rubber, and/or foam. Processing the C&D feed can comprise gasifying the C&D feed, steam, and oxygen in a gasifier at a temperature of no more than 950 C. and/or a pressure of no more than 200 psi to produce syngas.
PRODUCT GAS FILTER
A product gas filter with a filter housing, into which product gas of a wood gas reactor is supplied, by means of a product gas line, and is discharged as clean gas through a clean gas line. Long-chain hydrocarbons in the product gas stream can be at least substantially reduced, and a high filter performance achieved, where the filter is divided gas-tight into two parts by a separating tray in such a way that the product gas line is delivered to the lower region and the clean gas line exits from the upper collecting space; at least two filter cartridges, each coupled individually to a compressed air line and compressed air source, project into the lower region; and a zeolite container is connected to the lower portion of the filter via a compressed air source connectable, Venturi nozzle and a lockable line.
