METHOD AND REACTOR FOR PRODUCING SYNTHESIS GAS FROM A CARBON AND HYDROGEN SOURCE IN THE PRESENCE OF AN OXY FLAME
The technology relates to a method of producing synthesis gas comprising carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrogen (H.sub.2), wherein the synthesis gas is produced by a reduction reaction of a first flow comprising a carbon source and an excess of hydrogen in contact with an Oxy-flame. The hydrogen comes from a reducing stream, a first portion of which ends up in the first flow, and a second part of which is used to generate the Oxy-flame by combustion of the hydrogen in the presence of a second flow comprising oxygen (O.sub.2), the second flow coming from an oxidizing stream. The first flow and the second flow are at a distance from each other such that the Oxy-flame supports the reaction between the carbon source and the hydrogen. A reactor, which can have different configurations, is also proposed for implementing the method.
CARBON DIOXIDE CONVERSION PROCESS AND SYSTEM THEREFOR
Proposed is a carbon dioxide conversion system and method. More particularly, proposed is an eco-friendly carbon dioxide conversion system and method, the system and the method returning, in the recycling of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction off-gas, a part of the off-gas to a Fischer-Tropsch reactor and producing a synthetic natural gas through methanation of the remainder of the off-gas, thereby improving overall energy efficiency and carbon efficiency, and thus a useful hydrocarbon fuel is produced from carbon dioxide, thereby providing a carbon dioxide-reducing effect.
PRODUCTION OF SUSTAINABLE AVIATION FUEL FROM CO2 AND LOW-CARBON HYDROGEN
A process for the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) with low carbon intensity. The jet fuel is produced from the reaction of hydrogen from the electrolysis of water with captured carbon dioxide. The hydrogen and carbon dioxide are reacted to product a stream comprising carbon monoxide. Hydrogen and carbon monoxide are reacted to produce n-alkanes. Alkanes are hydroisomerized to produce sustainable aviation fuel with low carbon intensity.
CO rich synthesis gas production
The invention relates to a chemical reactor and reformer tubes for reforming a first feed stream comprising a hydrocarbon gas and steam. The chemical reactor comprises a shell with a heat source and one or more reformer tubes. The reformer tube is arranged to house catalyst material and is arranged to being heated by the heat source. The reformer tube comprises a first inlet for feeding said first feed stream into a first reforming reaction zone of the reformer tube, and a feed conduct arranged to allow a second feed stream into a second reforming reaction zone of the reformer tube. The second reforming reaction zone is positioned downstream of the first reforming reaction zone. The feed conduct is configured so that the second feed stream is only in contact with catalyst material in the second reforming reaction zone. The invention also relates to a process of producing CO rich synthesis gas at low S/C conditions.
Synthesis gas production from CO.SUB.2 .and H.SUB.2.O in a co-electrolysis
A synthesis gas production process from CO.sub.2 and H.sub.2O with a co-electrolysis, wherein the CO.sub.2 and CH.sub.4 content of the produced gas is reduced on the cathode side.
Production of aromatics by reverse water gas shift, fermentation and aromatization
Device and process for converting a feedstock of aromatic compounds, in which the feedstock is notably treated using a fractionation train (4-7), a xylenes separating unit (10) and an isomerization unit (11), and in which a pyrolysis unit (13) treats a second hydrocarbon-based feedstock, produces a pyrolysis effluent feeding the feedstock, and produces a pyrolysis gas comprising CO, CO2 and H2; an RWGS reverse water gas shift reaction section (51) treats the pyrolysis gas and produces an RWGS gas enriched in CO and in water; a fermentation reaction section (52) treats the RWGS gas enriched in CO and in water and produces ethanol; and an aromatization reaction section (14) converts the ethanol into a mixture of aromatic and paraffinic compounds feeding the feedstock.

The present invention describes a processes, systems, and catalysts for the utilization of carbon dioxide into high quality synthesis gas that can then be used to produce fuels (e.g., diesel fuel) and chemicals. In one aspect, the present invention provides a process for the conversion of a feed gas comprising carbon dioxide and hydrogen to a product gas comprising carbon monoxide and water.
PROCESS CONTROL OF A SERIAL REFORMER SECTION BY ELECTRICAL REFORMING
A plant is provided which comprises a reforming section, a gas separation section and a hydrocarbon-containing feed. The reforming section includes a heat exchange reformer and an electrical steam methane reformer (e-SMR) arranged downstream of said heat exchange reformer. The gas separation section is arranged to receive a synthesis gas stream from the reforming section and separate it into at least a condensate and a product gas. The plant is controlled by feedback control on the e-SMR.
PROCESS FOR SYNTHESISING HYDROCARBONS
A process for synthesising hydrocarbons is described comprising the steps of (a) making a synthesis gas comprising hydrogen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide from a feedstock in a synthesis gas generation unit, (b) removing carbon dioxide to produce a carbon dioxide stream and purified synthesis gas comprising hydrogen and carbon monoxide for synthesis gas in a Fischer-Tropsch hydrocarbon synthesis unit wherein (i) at least a portion of the FT water stream is fed to an electrolysis unit to provide an oxygen stream, which is fed to the synthesis gas generation unit. Carbon dioxide stream recovered from the carbon dioxide removal unit and a portion of the hydrogen stream produced by the electrolysis unit are fed to a reverse water-gas shift unit to produce a carbon monoxide stream, with carbon monoxide stream from the reverse water-gas shift unit fed to the Fischer-Tropsch hydrocarbon synthesis unit.
