EMULSIFIER PACKAGE WITH A SHORT-CHAINED AND OPTIONALLY WITH A LONG-CHAINED SURFACTANT FOR FUEL EMULSION
A method for powering a diesel engine with a fuel emulsion involves preparing the fuel emulsion by emulsifying a fuel and water in the presence of an emulsifier package, which contains a short-chained surfactant of the formula (I) as defined below and optionally, a long-chained surfactant of the formula (II) as defined below. A fuel emulsion for powering a diesel engine is also provided.

A method for using a nanocomposite of tin cobalt oxide nanocubes and graphene oxide to photo-catalytically degrade a portion of an organic contaminant in a solution. The nanocubes have an average side length in a range of 400 nm-1.5 m and a carbon to tin molar ratio in a range of 10:1-25:1. The nanocomposite may also be used for enhancing the efficiency of a liquid fuel.
Heavy marine fuel oil composition
A process for reducing the environmental contaminants in a ISO 8217 compliant Feedstock Heavy Marine Fuel Oil, the process involving: mixing a quantity of the Feedstock Heavy Marine Fuel Oil with a quantity of Activating Gas mixture to give a feedstock mixture; contacting the feedstock mixture with one or more catalysts to form a Process Mixture from the feedstock mixture; separating the Product Heavy Marine Fuel Oil liquid components of the Process Mixture from the gaseous components and by-product hydrocarbon components of the Process Mixture and, discharging the Product Heavy Marine Fuel Oil. The Product Heavy Marine Fuel Oil is compliant with ISO 8217 for residual marine fuel oils and the sulfur and Specific Contaminants have concentration less than 0.5 wt %., wherein the Specific Contaminates are selected from the group consisting of: vanadium, sodium, aluminum, silicon, calcium, zinc, phosphorus, nickel, iron and combinations thereof. The Product Heavy Marine Fuel Oil can be used as or as a blending stock for an ISO 8217 compliant, IMO MARPOL Annex VI (revised) compliant low sulfur or ultralow sulfur heavy marine fuel oil.
FUEL
An improved fuel, particularly an improved transport fuel composition is provided. Alternate fuels to traditional oil derived petrol and diesel have been considered particularly for transport purposes. However, there are limitations that have prevented their widespread use. A fuel composition is provided for use in an internal combustion engine comprising an organic carrier fuel having a particulate additive dispersed therein, the particulate additive being a lubricant.

Low sulfur marine fuel compositions and methods for making the same are provided. The compositions exhibit a sulfur content of at most 0.50 wt. %, a solvent power of at least 0.30, and a P-value of at least 1.15.

A multi-stage process for the production of an ISO8217 compliant Product Heavy Marine Fuel Oil from ISO 8217 compliant Feedstock Heavy Marine Fuel Oil involving a core process under reactive conditions in a Reaction System composed of one or more reaction vessels, wherein one or more of the reaction vessels contains one or more catalysts in the form of a structured catalyst bed and is operated under reactive distillation conditions. The Product Heavy Marine Fuel Oil has a sulfur level has a maximum sulfur content (ISO 14596 or ISO 8754) between the range of 0.05 mass % to 1.0 mass. A process plant for conducting the process for conducting the process is disclosed.

The present invention provides a catalytic fast pyrolysis process for the production of fuel blendstocks and chemicals. In addition, the invention provides compositions of renewable blendstocks, compositions of renewable fuel blends, and compositions of 100 percent renewable fuels compatible with gasoline specifications and regulations.
