PELLETIZATION GAS GUIDE
Polymer pellets are formed using laminar gas flow within a downstream gas conduit, as may be implemented consistent with one or more embodiments herein. A gas channel directs gas to an outlet of a polymer extrusion mandrel via which a polymer melt is extruded. A downstream gas conduit extends away from the outlet of the polymer extrusion mandrel, and provides laminar gas flow along the polymer melt extending from the extrusion mandrel, and within the downstream gas conduit. Using this approach, laminar flow can be maintained along an initial portion of the polymer melt, and used to control the subsequent formation of pellets therefrom.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROCESSING A HETEROGENEOUS WASTE STREAM
Systems and methods for processing and sorting a municipal solid waste stream are described herein. A system can include a processing sub-system configured to receive a municipal solid waste stream and to remove the non-processable waste, a processing apparatus configured and disposed to receive constituents of the municipal solid waste stream from the processing sub-system and reduce the size of the constituents of the waste stream to an average particle size of less than about inch, and separators configured to sort the waste stream into constituents based on density.

Method for manufacturing dried combustible material and dried combustible material
A method for manufacturing dried combustible material includes: a mixing step of mixing a number of particles made of combustible material containing moisture and a dehydrating liquid made of an emulsion containing synthetic resin to form a mixture in which surfaces of the particles are made contact with the dehydrating liquid; and a drying step of forming a synthetic resin coating made of the dehydrating liquid dried on the surfaces of the particles and evaporating the moisture of the particles, to form coated particles including the particles having a reduced moisture content percentage and the synthetic resin coating that covers the surfaces of the particles, and produce dried combustible material made up of the coated particles.
A METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A HEAT SOURCE
The invention relates to a method for the manufacturing of a combustible heat source (1) for an aerosol forming article, comprising: Providing a mould (100) defining a cavity (101) having a first opening (102); Providing a chamber (106) above said cavity (101), the chamber (106) having a second opening (108) fluidly connected to the first opening (102); Placing a particulate component (104) in the chamber (106); compressing the particulate component (104) in the chamber (106) up to a first pressure so that it forcedly flows into said cavity (101); and compressing the particulate component (104) in the cavity (101) up to a second pressure higher than said first pressure to form the combustible heat source (1).
