Surface adaptive tension-compression base structure and apparatus using the same
A tension-compression base structure including tension elements (such as flexible cables or ropes) and compression elements (such as rigid legs) is provided with a slidably adjustable path for the tension elements around or within the compression elements, thereby enabling a degree of adaptability to support surfaces that may not be ideally flat, such as on outdoor terrain. Such a tension-compression base may be used to support a platform, a stool, or an item of equipment that may be desirably held in a preferred orientation irrespective of terrain irregularities, and as furniture may be configured to rock with a user's body as a form of active seating.
Personal Assistive Lift Device and Related Methods
The disclosed personal assistive lift device is a self-operated device intended to a help a moderately disabled, yet still ambulatory, person regain a standing position after a fall. The disclosed personal assistive lift device includes a main leg and two support legs pivotably connected together, a seat movably affixed to the main leg, a handlebar positioned on a top portion of the main leg, and a module containing a gearmotor configured to move the seat along the main leg. A major advantage of the disclosed device is to allow the user to safely expand the range of activities and locations, whether indoor or outdoor, that the user can access.
COLLAPSIBLE CHAIR
A chair operable between an extended configuration and a collapsed configuration includes one or more legs, a handle and a locking mechanism. The one or more legs support a seat and the handle extends away from the seat opposite the one or more legs. The locking mechanism includes a lock plug disposed in an elongate trough. Movement of the handle between the extended and collapsed configurations involves depressing the lock plug and flipping the trough to an opposite side of the lock plug.
Seat and assembly for a seat
An assembly for a seat includes a pivot hub defining multiple rotation axes, and a displacing module attached to the pivot hub. Extendable legs are rotatably coupled to the pivot hub and comprise locking devices movable between an unlocked position, in which the legs, when extended, are enabled to retract, and a locked position, in which the legs, when extended, are prevented from retracting. The legs are rotatable between an intermediate position and a deployed position. When the legs are extended, and when in the intermediate position, the displacing module engages the locking devices to move the locking devices from the locked position to the unlocked position. When the legs are extended, rotating the legs from the intermediate position to the deployed position brings the displacing module out of contact with the locking devices.
Folding frame and outdoor table or outdoor chair using the folding frame
A folding frame and an outdoor table or outdoor chair using the folding frame. The folding frame comprises a base, a plurality of support legs, and a plurality of extension support bars. Both sides on the upper end of the support leg are configured with a teeth part, and every two neighboring support legs are connected through meshing teeth. The base is configured with a locking module to lock the support legs when they are relatively unfolded. The locking module includes a pull rod seat, a spring sheathing the pull rod seat, a plurality of locking blocks, and the pull rod seat is pushed upward under the elastic force of the spring so that the locking block is pushed into the lock slots of the support legs. Thus, the support legs unfolded in relation to the base can be fixed and supported.
FOLDABLE CHAIR
A foldable chair includes a support unit, a sliding base, and a seat unit. The support unit includes a pivot base, a main support rod and two auxiliary support rods connected to the pivot base. The sliding base is sleeved on the main support rod. The seat unit includes a seating subunit connected to the sliding base. The seat unit further includes a linkage subunit that includes a first linkage rod connected to the pivot base, a second linkage rod connected to the first linkage rod and the sliding base, and a resilient member between the pivot base and the first linkage rod. The seating subunit is convertible between a folded state and an expanded state. The resilient member biases the end of the first linkage rod distal from the pivot base away from the main support rod.
All-terrain lounge chair
An all-terrain lounge chair. The lounge chair includes a plurality of legs and a pair of cross bars connecting the legs. The legs are formed such that they may meet at an apex. The apex defines a point that enters the ground. The chair further includes a flexible seat that is attached to the plurality of legs. The chair can be folded from an open position to a closed position.
LIGHTWEIGHT COLLAPSIBLE STOOL
A lightweight, collapsible, and portable wheeled seat, e.g., a wheeled office chair or stool, for travel, storage, and mobility, is disclosed.
Hammock stand
A portable hammock stand includes first and second identical collapsible pod assemblies. Each pod assembly incorporates a plurality of elongated rigid legs having respective top and bottom ends. A top fastening hub holds the legs together proximate their top ends, and the bottom ends of the legs diverging to a ground surface. A flexible suspension strap extends downwardly from the top fastening hub, and has a free end adapted for hanging a first end of a flexible hammock. An elongated ridge pole extends substantially horizontally between the first and second pod assemblies, and has first and second opposite ends. The first end of the ridge pole attaches to the first suspension strap between its free end and the first top fastening hub, and the second end of the ridge pole attaches to the second suspension strap between its free end and second top fastening hub.
Support apparatus, such as a seat, foldable and portable
A supporting apparatus such as a portable seat that can be opened and closed is disclosed having a plurality of poles hinged to junctions. A part of the poles form the legs and another portion form an anchorage on which a foldable surface is stretched when the apparatus is opened. The apparatus also includes traction elements cooperating with the folding surface and which join one another at the end of the poles that do not converge at the junctions. The configuration preset by the orientation of the poles, along with the structural configuration of anti-prism or other extremely stable and rigid configurations, are such that they spread most of the torsional and bending stresses.
