Collapsible flotation device
A collapsible flotation device is provided that uses a coilable spring coupled to a panel to collapse the device when the spring is coiled, and to expand the device when the spring is uncoiled configuration. The spring can be contained within a sleeve along the outer portion of the panel. A support member that traverses the panel is provided. An inflatable bladder disposed about a part of the outer portion of the panel and coupled to the support member buoyantly supports a body weight of a user. The combination of the inflatable bladder and the support member provide support for a user in a seated position on the panel. Many configurations are disclosed, including a multi-user collapsible flotation device, multiple connected single-user flotation devices, and so forth. A back support member and a headrest, both of which can be inflatable, provide additional support for a user to maintain a seated position on the panel. A foot support member is provided for the comfort of the user.
Floatation support device
A floatation support device supports a person in a seated or prone position in a body of water. The device includes a pair of frames each having an elbow coupling a first section to a second section. The elbow of each frame forms a right angle between the first section and the second section. A first tube is flexible and buoyant in water. The first section of each of the frames is inserted into an associated end of the first tube wherein the first tube couples the first sections together. A second tube is flexible and buoyant in water. The second section of each of the frames is inserted into an associated end of the second tube wherein the second tube couples the second sections together.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR IMPROVED CELL-BASED BOTULINUM NEUROTOXIN ASSAYS
Methods and compositions are provided where a transfected cell that produces a hybrid protein with a reporter-containing portion and a botulinum toxin cleavage site is contacted with a botulinum toxin in media having a reduced sodium concentration, thereby increasing the sensitivity. Such media can also be used in combination with elevated cell culture temperatures. Kits that include such media and a botulinum toxin are also described.
FLOATING LOUNGE WITH IMPROVED BACK SUPPORT
According to one aspect, embodiments of the invention provide a recreational floatation device comprising a body portion comprising an inflatable member having a first inner perimeter surrounding a first inner area, a first support portion comprising a layer of material extending through the first inner area and attached to the inflatable member at its first inner perimeter to support a user of the device, a back support member located within said first inner area, a hinge mechanism coupled to the back support member and the first inner perimeter and configured to allow the back support member to rotate between a first position, wherein a substantial portion of the back support member extends generally away from the first inner area, and a second position, in which the back support member lies substantially within the first inner area.
Child seat for a swimming pool
A child seat apparatus for use in a swimming pool includes a frame assembly including an opposed and parallel pair of side frames, a vertical adjusting assembly movably connected to the pair of side frames, a floatable seat assembly connected to the vertical adjusting assembly between the pair of side frames, and a weighted base connected to the frame assembly.
Child seat for a swimming pool
A child seat apparatus for use in a swimming pool includes a floatable seat assembly configured to support a child occupant upon a water surface, and a pedestal assembly removably connected to the seat assembly to support the seat assembly on a bottom of the swimming pool.
INFLATABLE LOUNGE CHAIR AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING SAME
This invention relates to recreational flotation devices, and particularly to inflatable lounge chairs, and to methods for manufacturing same.
Float with retractable foot rest
The present invention proposes a float with a retractable foot rest, comprising a lying float body, a supporting element, a protecting assembly and a foot rest cushion. The supporting element and the protecting assembly are installed in a lying float splicing body; the foot rest cushion that can be retracted or expanded is installed at the lower end of the supporting element; and the foot rest cushion is connected with the supporting element. When the float is worn, the foot rest cushion can be expanded to replace an additional bath towel that needs to be placed on the ground to prevent dirt. After wearing, the foot rest cushion can be retracted below the supporting element, or as required, the floating body is spliced on the lying float body, and the foot rest cushion is connected with the floating body.
Infant float
This application relates to inflatable flotation devices that support an infant, and having first, second and third inflatable members. The first member has an outer and an inner perimeter and a first and second diameters at first and second end portions. The second member is at least partially within the inner perimeter of the first member. At least a portion of the upper surface of the second member is recessed with respect to an upper surface of the first member. The third member has an inner perimeter disposed about at least a portion of the outer perimeter of the first member. The third member has a maximum height, when inflated, that is less than the maximum height of the first member, at least a portion of the inner perimeter of the third member being spaced apart from the outer perimeter of the first member.
Customizable furniture system
A customizable furniture frame made from recycled materials, available in various shapes and sizes, and designed to function both as modular furniture and a flotation device in emergency situations, such as floods or in a pool or lake situation. A plurality of Snap-on connectors is disposed on the exterior surface of the frame facilitating the selective attachment and detachment of furniture panels/pieces made from materials such as wood, foam, plastic, metal, or fabric. The panels have Snap-on sockets aligned with the connectors for removably attaching the panels/pieces to the frame to form customized furniture layouts. The frame is hollow and provides buoyancy for floating of the frame with one or more users sitting on the frame. The frame and panels form a customizable furniture system that can evolve with changing tastes and preferences.
