Fuel Gas Conditioner
A system and method for conditioning fuel gas comprises a separator to receive rich gas and to separate NGLs from the rich gas to produce lean fuel gas. A first valve is coupled before the separator to receive the rich gas to expand the rich gas in a throttling or Joule-Thomson effect to reduce the pressure and temperature of the rich gas for the separator. A heat exchanger is coupled before the first valve to transfer heat from the rich gas to the lean fuel gas. The system can further comprise another separator to receive rich gas to separate water from the rich gas to preprocess the rich gas. The system can further comprise a temperature control loop utilizing a slip stream from the separator, a second expansion valve, and another heat exchanger.
SOLVENT EXTRACTION OF OIL FROM DISTILLERS DRIED GRAINS AND METHODS OF USING EXTRACTION PRODUCTS
A process for extraction of crude oil from distillers dried grain solubles and/or distillers dried grains using a solvent extraction process and producing corn distillers meal that may be used as an animal feed supplement is disclosed. The corn distillers meal may be used as a crude protein supplement for use in a livestock feed diet, poultry feed diet, aquatic feed diet or the like. The solvent extracted crude oil may be suitable for other processes, including oleochemical processing for personal care and home care products, biodiesel production, and/or renewable diesel production from hydro-treating the extracted oil to make green diesel fuel.
Solvent extraction of oil from distillers dried grains and methods of using extraction products

For example, the corn distillers meal may be used as a crude protein supplement for use in a livestock feed diet or a poultry feed diet. The solvent extracted crude oil may be suitable for oleochemical processing for personal care and home care products, biodiesel production, and/or renewable diesel production from hydro-treating the extracted oil to make green diesel fuel.
Clean gasoline from a light hydrocarbon fraction and preparation method thereof
A method for producing a clean gasoline from a light hydrocarbon fraction is disclosed. The method includes two main steps including desulfurization of a light hydrocarbon fraction along with enhancing octane number of the desulfurized light hydrocarbon fraction. The octane number of the desulfurized hydrocarbon fraction is enhanced by applying a hormone-modified additive.
FUEL COMPOSITIONS FROM LIGHT TIGHT OILS AND HIGH SULFUR FUEL OILS
Methods are provided to prepare a low sulfur fuel from hydrocarbon sources, such as light tight oil and high sulfur fuel oil, often less desired by conventional refiners, who split crude into a wide range of differing products and may prefer presence of wide ranges (C3 or C5 to C20 or higher) of hydrocarbons. These fuels can be produced by separating feeds into untreated and treated streams, and then recombining them. Such fuels can also be formulated by combinations of light, middle and heavy range constituents in a selected manner as claimed. Not only low in sulfur, the fuels of this invention are also low in nitrogen and essentially metals free. Fuel use applications include on-board large marine transport vessels but also on-shore for large land based combustion gas turbines, boilers, fired heaters and transport vehicles and trains.

Method and system for producing products by fermentation
A method for producing products, advantageously solvents, is by fermentation, advantageously multi-stage fermentation. The fermentation is complemented with pervaporation as in situ product recovery technology, combined with a multistage condensation of the permeate. The condensates are separately introduced in the downstream processing to recover the produced products, advantageously solvents. The method for producing products, advantageously solvents, by fermentation is simplified and has an overall improved energy efficiency. A related system uses method for producing products, advantageously solvents, is by fermentation.
BIOCHARS, BIOCHAR EXTRACTS AND BIOCHAR EXTRACTS HAVING SOLUBLE SIGNALING COMPOUNDS AND METHOD FOR CAPTURING MATERIAL EXTRACTED FROM BIOCHAR
A method for capturing material extracted from biochar is provided comprising the steps of: (i) providing a biochar; (ii) contacting the biochar with an extraction media, where the extraction media causes the removal of residual compounds from the pores and surface of the biochar, creating a resulting extract comprised of the extraction media and removed compounds; and (iii) collecting the resulting extract. The method also can include other steps of extraction and purification. The method further comprises the step of applying the resulting extract to seeds, plants, soil, other agricultural products, or for use in other applications. A biochar having high levels of soluble signaling compounds is also provided, where the biochar is derived from a biomass source that together with predefined pyrolysis parameters produces resulting biochar having increased levels of soluble signaling compounds that are known to increase seed germination rates and early plant growth.
Jet fuel treating for blending compatibility
Methods are provided for treatment of kerosene/jet fuel boiling range fractions, such as previously qualified jet fuel fractions, to allow blending of the kerosene/jet fuel boiling range fractions to produce a jet fuel boiling range blend having a breakpoint that is equal to or greater than the breakpoint of at least one of the kerosene jet fuel boiling range fractions used to form the blend. The breakpoint of the jet fuel boiling range blend can be maintained by treating at least one of the component fractions of the blend and/or by treating the blend to reduce a nitrogen content. The reduced nitrogen content can correspond to a reduced content of total nitrogen and/or a reduced content of unexpected nitrogen compounds.
