Biomass solid fuel manufacturing method and biomass solid fuel manufacturing device
A biomass solid fuel manufacturing method, including: a heating step of carbonizing a biomass molded body formed by molding raw material biomass, in an external heating type rotary kiln, in which the rotary kiln includes a non-heating zone that is provided on an upstream side of a kiln body and is not provided with a heating unit on an outer circumference, the non-heating zone includes a spiral blade on an inner circumferential surface, and in the heating step, the biomass molded body is introduced to the non-heating zone of the kiln body.
Methods and compositions for drying coal
The present disclosure provides methods, compositions and systems for drying coal fines.
Method for producing molded solid fuel
A method of manufacturing a molded solid fuel including: a pulverization for pulverizing low-grade coal; a mixing for obtaining a slurry by mixing the pulverized low-grade coal and a solvent oil; a dehydration for obtaining a dehydrated slurry by heating and dehydrating the slurry; a solid-liquid separation for obtaining a cake by separating the solvent oil from the dehydrated slurry; a drying for obtaining powdery modified coal by heating the cake and further separating the solvent oil from the cake; and a molding for pressurizing and molding the powdery modified coal by using a molding machine, without the addition/mixture of a binder. In the molding, a coolant is sprayed onto the surface of the molding machine, and the surface temperature of the molding machine is kept equal to or below 100° C.

The present invention relates to a process for producing a solid biomass fuel, as well as a solid biomass fuel produced by said process. Additionally, the present invention relates to a combustion process comprising combusting said solid biomass fuel so as to produce energy.
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SOLID BIOMASS FUEL
The present invention relates to a process for producing a solid biomass fuel from agricultural waste such as grass, rice husk, yam, straw, corn cob or any combination thereof, as well as a solid biomass fuel produced by said process. Additionally, the present invention relates to a combustion process comprising combusting said solid biomass fuel so as to produce energy and a pre-treatment process for pre-treating one or more sources of biomass for use in the production of a solid biomass fuel.
Method and process for producing a water-resistant, mechanically stable form of torrefied biomass
Disclosed herein is a binder-free product and process for making the product. The product is a mechanically stable, water resistant torrefied biomass product that does not comprise an extrinsic binder additive. The product is made using a combination of appropriate pre-treatment steps and compressing the conditioned biomass feedstock into a thermally managed compaction device comprising at least one modified die. The modified die allows for differential cooling/heating modifications so as to control the temperature near the entrance to the compaction device and passing the formed torrefied biomass into a post-formation curing zone.
Method of separating solids using bio-oils
A process for separating a solid having two or more components, at least one of which is lyophobic and at least one of which is lyophilic. The process comprises, in a single step, comminuting a mixture of the solid in a first liquid to which one of the components is lyophilic and to which the other component is lyophobic and in a second liquid which is immiscible with the first liquid and which will wet the lyophobic component to form agglomerates or floes of the lyophobic component and the second liquid in a mill having positive transport capability such that the mill causes the mixture to be transported therethrough. The second liquid comprises a bio-oil, bio-diesel or combination thereof. The agglomerates are then separated from the mixture. This process may be used for beneficiating a coal containing ash.
Chipped charcoal fuel and method of production thereof
Described herein is a method for isolating high carbon chipped wood charcoal fuel suitable for grilling food. According to one aspect, the method involves removing pyrolyzed wood charcoal from a kiln wherein the pyrolyzed wood charcoal comprises lumps, chips, smaller pieces, and dust particles. The pyrolyzed wood charcoal is passed over a first sieve that is configured to separate the lumps from the chips, smaller pieces and dust particles. The chips, smaller pieces and dust particles are then passed over a second sieve that is configured to separate the chips from the smaller pieces and dust particles. The resulting chipped wood charcoal is consistently sized to be small enough to pass through a food supporting grill grate and supportable by an underlying grid support, thereby allowing refueling while grilling without interruption.
COAL POWDER PRETREATMENT METHOD AND COAL POWDER GASIFICATION METHOD
Disclosed are a pulverized coal preprocessing method and a pulverized coal gasifying method. The pulverized coal preprocessing method comprises the following steps: (1) performing pore broadening on pulverized coal to obtain preprocessed pulverized coal; (2) loading alkali metal ions into the preprocessed pulverized coal under an ion exchange condition to obtain alkali metal loaded pulverized coal. The method further comprises loading a chrome complex into the alkali metal loaded pulverized coal obtained in described step (2). In gasification, the pulverized coal loaded with alkali metal potassium and chrome catalysts obtained by the method has the advantages of high sulphur removal rate, high carbon conversion rate, short gasifying reaction time and high methane production.
