METHOD OF GRILLING
20240400926 · 2024-12-05 ·

Described herein is a method for grilling food on a grill. In one aspect, the method allows solid fuel having a size of at least one-fourth an inch in dimension to be added through a food-supporting grill grate onto a grid underlying the food-supporting grill grate and without lifting any portion of the food-supporting grill grate. The food-supporting grill grate includes spaced bars for supporting food and provides a cooking area for grilling. The solid fuel can be added to the grid directly beneath any portion of the cooking area by passing the solid fuel between any adjacent ones of the spaced bars. The solid fuel is ignited by lighting a gas burner disposed beneath the grid. Once ignited, food may be placed on the food-supporting grill grate over the solid fuel to cook the food on the food-supporting grill grate.

High Protein Organic Materials as Fuel and Processes for Making the Same
20170190994 · 2017-07-06 · ·

A process of making a fuel product from a non-combustible high protein organic material such as a waste material. The high protein organic material is pulverized to a particle size whose particle size less than 2 mm. The moisture content of the high protein organic material is mechanically reduced and dried to reduce the moisture content to less than ten percent (10%). The high protein organic waste material is fed into a combustion chamber and separated during combustion such as by spraying of the high protein organic waste material within the combustion chamber. Temperature and combustion reactions within the combustion chamber may be controlled by injection of steam within the combustion chamber.

PROCESS AND SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING ENGINEERED FUEL

A process and system for producing an engineered fuel product that meets customer specifications for composition and combustion characteristics is provided. The engineered fuel product is preferably a high-BTU, alternative fuel that burns cleaner than coal or petroleum coke (petcoke) and has significantly reduced NOx, SO.sub.2 and GHG emissions.

Clean coal electrical generation

The invention produces a mechanism and method to clean coal of contaminates/pollutants such as sulfur, mercury, silica, and others, for use in a coal fired electrical generator. The mined coal is first ground to a mesh size and is subjected to a vertical separator which separates contaminates/pollutants from the coal. The now cleaned coal is ground to a smaller mesh size and injected into the boiler of the electrical generator. In some embodiments, the cleaned coal is formed into solids for transport to the coal fired electrical generator.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FLUFF SOLID FUEL USING COMBUSTIBLE WASTE

A method of manufacturing a non-molded solid fuel using a combustible waste material includes (a) primarily crushing an inflowing waste material using a bag-tearing and crushing device, (b) separating iron from the primarily crushed waste material using a first magnetic sorter, (c) sorting the waste material, from which the iron is separated, according to the particle size of the waste material using a first oscillating multi-stage particle-size sorter, (d) secondarily crushing the waste material having a large particle size using an impact crusher, (e) separating the iron from the secondarily crushed waste material using a second magnetic sorter, (f) sorting the waste material, from which the iron is separated, according to the weight of the waste material using a wind power sorter, (g) separating the iron from a light material, and (h) pulverizing the waste material, from which the iron is separated.

Method for sorting and comprehensively utilizing municipal solid waste

A method for sorting and comprehensively utilizing municipal solid waste includes steps of: 1) feeding the municipal solid waste into a feeding tank through a feeding inlet, then outputting into a breaking device; 2) breaking refuse bags and large blocks by the breaking device; 3) transporting broken refuse into a two-stage roller screen for screening out dusts with a particle size of less than 3 mm, and hanging strips; and 4) transporting mixed refuse screened by the two-stage screen into a vibrating screen; screening oversize products by a heavy winnowing machine for separating inorganic blocks, large plastics and paper; transporting underflow products into a two-room multi-functional winnowing machine for dividing into heavy materials, light materials and medium materials. By effectively combining sorting devices, effective sorting and reutilization of mixed refuse are achieved. Thereafter, paper, fibers, plastics and kitchen organic refuse are respectively for producing refuse derived fuel, wood-plastic composite and fertilizer.

Biomass fractionation method for producing biomass of varying ash content and uses thereof

A method for fractionating biomass material according to ash content, the method comprising: grinding the biomass material to produce a ground biomass and sieving the ground biomass through a first screen to yield: a) a first fraction of biomass particles that does not pass through the first screen and which has a first particle size, and b) a second fraction of biomass particles that passes through the first screen and which has a second particle size, wherein the second particle size is smaller than the first particle size, and wherein the second fraction of biomass particles has a higher ash content than the first fraction of biomass particles; and optionally further comprising: passing the second fraction of biomass particles through a second screen having a finer mesh size to produce a third fraction having a smaller particle size and a higher ash content than the second fraction of biomass particles.

METHOD OF GRILLING

A method of grilling on a grill includes installing a fuel support for supporting solid fuel inside the grill, wherein the fuel support comprises a substantially flat, embossed, non-expanded formed metal screen. The grill is of a type intended for cooking or grilling food solely by combusting ignitable gas. A food-supporting grill-grate is placed over the support for solid fuel and solid fuel added onto the fuel support underlying the food-supporting grill grate. The solid fuel is ignited to generate heat from combustion of the solid fuel. Food is placed on the food-supporting grill grate; cooked using the heat from the combustion of the solid fuel.
