Wax isomerized oil
The present invention provides a wax isomerized oil, wherein a content of a hydrocarbon compound having an even number of carbon atoms, as determined from a chromatogram obtained by mass spectrometry, is more than 50% by mass based on a total amount of the wax isomerized oil.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING LUBRICANT BASE OIL
A method for producing a lubricant base oil includes a first hydrogenation treatment step of bringing a hydrogenation treatment catalyst and a light wax into contact with each other at temperature T.sub.1, and thereby obtaining a first treated oil; a second hydrogenation treatment step of bringing the hydrogenation treatment catalyst and a heavy wax into contact with each other at temperature T.sub.2, and thereby obtaining a second treated oil; and a base oil production step of obtaining a lubricant base oil from a feedstock oil containing at least one selected from the group consisting of the first treated oil and the second treated oil, in which the hydrogenation treatment catalyst is a catalyst obtained by supporting one or more metals selected from the elements of Group 6, Group 8, Group 9, and Group 10 of the Periodic Table of Elements, on an inorganic oxide support.
Mineral base oil, lubricant composition, internal combustion engine, lubricating method of internal combustion engine
Provided is a mineral base oil satisfying the following requirements (I) to (III): Requirement (I): a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. is 2 mm.sup.2/s or more and less than 7 mm.sup.2/s; Requirement (II): a viscosity index is 100 or more; and Requirement (III): a temperature gradient Δ|η*| of complex viscosity between two temperature points −10° C. and −25° C. is 60 Pa.Math.s/° C. or less as measured with a rotary rheometer under conditions at an angular velocity of 6.3 rad/s and a strain amount of 0.1 to 100%. The foregoing mineral base oil can become a lubricating oil composition having desirable low-temperature viscosity characteristics, including low-temperature fuel consumption and low-temperature engine start-up performance, and also having excellent high-temperature piston detergency.

The present disclosure relates to a method for producing renewable ketones, paraffin waxes, base oil components and alkenes from a feedstock of biological origin, wherein the method includes ketonisation of esters of fatty acids and monohydric alcohols wherein the alcohols have carbon chain length of two or more.
Gear lubricant composition
A gear lubricant composition includes at least 97% by weight, based on the total weight of the lubricant composition, of at least one hydrocarbon-based oil that includes a weight content of isoparaffins ranging from 90 to 0%, a weight content of normal paraffins ranging from 0 to 10% and a carbon content of biological origin greater than or equal to 90% relative to the total weight of the oil, at least 0.01% by weight, based on the total weight of the lubricant composition, of at least one additive selected among the anti-wear additives, extreme pressure additives, anti-corrosion additives, additives having metal-deactivating properties, anti-foam additives, anti-oxidant additives selected among the phenolic anti-oxidants, and the mixtures thereof.
Fluorocarbon, lubricant for use on ice and snow, and coating method
A laminate including a target, a coating film of a lubricant containing a paraffin wax and carbon fluoride formed on the target. The carbon fluoride is graphite fluoride having a proportion of 0.1 to 2.0% by mass relative to the paraffin wax. Further, an amount of the carbon fluoride in a vicinity of a target on which the coating film is formed is larger than an amount of the carbon fluoride on a surface opposite the target. Also disclosed is a method of coating a target as well as snow or ice sliding equipment.
