MIXTURES, ARTICLES HAVING LOW COEFFICIENTS OF FRICTION, METHODS OF MAKING THESE, AND METHODS OF USING THESE
The present disclosure provides for mixtures, methods for making mixtures, articles, methods for making articles, and methods of using articles. In an aspect, the articles have superior tribological properties owing to combinations of polytetrafluoroethylene and an irradiated fluoropolymer described herein.
Lithium-based thickener and grease composition including the same
A lithium salt thickener that enhances thermal stability at high temperature and operability at low temperature, and a grease composition including the same, is provided.
Hyperbranched ethylene-based oils and greases
A process to prepare a relatively inexpensive utility fluid comprises contacting together ethylene and a coordination-insertion catalyst and, optionally, an alpha-olefin, in a continuously-fed backmixed reactor zone under conditions such that a mixture of a hyperbranched oligomer and a branched oligomer is formed. The hyperbranched oligomer has an average of at least 1.5 methine carbons per oligomer molecule, and at least 40 methine carbons per one-thousand total carbons, and at least 40 percent of the methine carbons is derived from the ethylene, and the average number of carbons per molecule is from 25 to 100, and at least 25 percent of the hyperbranched oligomer molecules has a vinyl group and can be separated from the branched oligomer, which has an average number of carbons per molecule of up to 20. The coordination-insertion catalyst is characterized as having an ethylene/octene reactivity ratio up to 20 and a kinetic chain length up to 20 monomer units.

Heat treating oil composition
A heat-treatment oil composition contains (A) a first base oil with a kinematic viscosity at 40 degrees C. in a range of 5 mm.sup.2/s to 60 mm.sup.2/s in an amount of 50 mass % to 95 mass % of a total amount of the composition, (B) a second base oil with a kinematic viscosity at 40 degrees C. of 300 mm.sup.2/s or more in an amount of 5 mass % to 50 mass %, and (C) an alpha-olefin copolymer. The heat-treatment oil composition according to the invention can reduce distortion unevenness and hardness unevenness accompanying mass-quenching.

COATING COMPOSITION FOR LUBRICATING COATING FILM
A coating composition for a lubricating coating film includes: (A) a phenolic resin (B) an epoxy resin having an epoxy equivalent weight of 600 to 4000; and (C) at least one type of solid lubricant. The epoxy equivalent weight is generally defined by the number average molecular weight per the number of epoxy groups in a single molecule. The coating composition has a weight ratio of component (A) to the total weight of component (A) and component (B) of at least 50 weight %. A lubricating coating film, formed from the coating composition, has a high level of flexibility on surfaces of various base materials.

Plastic waste conversion to lubricant production
A process for converting plastic feedstock into a lubricant on an industrial scale can include a reactor having a filter integrated therein to allow for separation and recovery of catalyst so it can be washed and reused in subsequent conversion processes. Such recycling of the catalyst can allow for an industrial scale conversion process.
