Automatically adjustable seating apparatus are described. The automatically adjustable seating apparatus include first and second seat bottom portions that at least one of which is moveable. The first and/or second seat bottom portions are moveable by automatic adjusters that alter the position of a seat bottom portion between a retracted position and an extended position. When the moveable seat bottom portion or portions are in their retracted position, the automatically adjustable seating apparatus is configured as two seats back-to-back, and when the seat bottom portion or portions are in their extended positions, the automatically adjustable seating apparatus forms a substantially flat surface.

A convertible furniture piece includes a base frame, pivotable arms connected to the base frame, and a back member rotatably connected to the pivotable arms, the back member comprising first and second portions coupled together by a linkage system. The connection of the pair of pivotable arms to the base frame comprises a first pivot point that enables translation of the back member between a generally upright couch position and a horizontal table position, with the first and second portions of the back member being joined in each of the couch position and the table position. The connection of the back member to the pair of pivotable arms comprises a second pivot point that enables translation of the back member between a generally upright couch position and a bed position, with the first and second portions of the back member being rotated relative to one another in the bed position.

A convertible furniture piece includes a base frame, pivotable arms connected to the base frame, and a back member rotatably connected to the pivotable arms, the back member comprising first and second portions coupled together by a linkage system. The connection of the pair of pivotable arms to the base frame comprises a first pivot point that enables translation of the back member between a generally upright couch position and a horizontal table position, with the first and second portions of the back member being joined in each of the couch position and the table position. Disclosed is a height-adjustable bed including: a base; a support frame placed on an upper surface of the base; a mattress stably placed on an upper surface of the support frame; and a height adjusting device connected to the support frame and the base to adjust the height and tilt of the support frame, wherein the height adjusting device includes a gas spring or a spring lever to manually adjust the height of the support frame.

A recliner chair bed includes a first frame, a second frame, a backrest, and a leg rest. The first frame has front and rear ends. The second frame fits comfortably and moves telescopically inside and outside of the first frame. The leg rest is attached to the front end of the first frame. The backrest is attached to the rear end of the first frame. The independent movement of the back and leg rests helps in achieving desired position for comfort. The recliner chair bed provides stability, can be moved on to any fixtures such as furniture and toilet and also can be converted into a bed.

A massage apparatus including a seat portion with a first side and a second side opposite the first side, the seat portion including a seat frame, and a seat on the first side of, and coupled to, the seat frame; a base frame on the second side of the seat portion, and including an opening; a massage module coupled to the base frame, and configured to provide a massage function through the opening; and a cover member on the second side of the seat portion, wherein the cover member is configured to be movable to cover the opening and uncover the opening.

Adjustable mattress foundations generally include a mattress support surface including a head and back section hingedly connected to an intermediate seat section at one end and a leg and foot section hingedly connected to the intermediate seat section at another end. The intermediate seat section includes spaced apart upper and lower panels, wherein the lower panel is hingedly connected to the head and back section and slideably engaged with side frame members of the foundation, and wherein the upper panel is stationary and hingedly connected to the leg and foot section. A linear actuator is operatively coupled to a linkage assembly to independently effect inclination or declination of the head and back section relative to the intermediate seat section and is further operative to effect an increase or decrease in a length of the intermediate seat section by movement of the lower panel relative to the upper panel.

An electric bed includes a frame, an actuator, a base body and a plate member. The frame includes a fixed rack and a movable rack movably disposed at the fixed rack. The actuator is disposed between the fixed rack and the movable rack in a way that the movable rack is movable relative to the fixed rack. The base body is disposed at a top side of the frame. The plate member is movable into and out of the base body. As a result, the plate member can be used as a table or a supporting frame for replacing things thereon, and the plate member can move back when user do not want to use the plate member.

Furniture that is convertible between a seat position and a bed position is described. The furniture includes a first bed section with a first platform supporting a first cushion, and a second bed section with a second platform, a second cushion, and a partition disposed between the second platform and the second cushion. The first platform is configured to pivot relative to the second platform. The first cushion is thicker than the second cushion. When the furniture is in the bed position, a top surface of the first cushion is substantially coplanar with a top surface of the second cushion and the partition is spaced from the second platform by a first distance. In the seat position of the furniture, the distance between the partition and the second platform is less than the first distance.
