COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING OR REDUCING LOW SPEED PRE-IGNITION IN SPARK-IGNITED INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES
Fuel and lubricant compositions are provided that contain a primary low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI)-reducing additive comprising (i) an amino additive, (ii) an amine additive, (iii) a triazole additive, (iv) a benzamidinium additive, (v) a benzoxazole additive, or (vi) a NCX motif additive. Methods for preventing or reducing low speed pre-ignition events in spark-ignited engines using these compositions are also provided.

Lubricating composition with seals compatibility
The disclosed technology relates to a lubricating composition additives that prevent or reduce seals degradation, especially in the presence of basic amine compounds which impart basicity (measured as total base number or TBN) to the lubricating composition. The lubricating composition contains (a) an oil of lubricating viscosity, (b) a basic amine compound, and (c) a 1,3-dioxane-4,6-dione compound.
LUBRICATING COMPOSITION WITH SEALS COMPATIBILITY
The disclosed technology relates to a lubricating composition additives that prevent or reduce seals degradation, especially in the presence of basic amine compounds which impart basicity (measured as total base number or TBN) to the lubricating composition. Steel cord for rubber reinforcement and method for manufacturing the same
The present invention relates to a steel cord for rubber reinforcement. In the steel cord of the present invention, cobalt is contained by 0.001 ppm to 0.1 ppm within a 4 nm top-surface of the brass-plated steel wire. A method of manufacturing the steel cord includes: providing a brass-plated steel wire; mixing a cobalt compound in a wet lubricant filled in a wet drawing bath provided with a plurality of drawing dies between one pair of multi-stage drawing cones such that the concentration of the cobalt compound becomes 0.1 ppm to 100 ppm; and causing the cobalt to be contained by 0.001 ppm to 0.1 ppm within a 4 nm top-surface of the brass-plated steel wire after the brass-plated steel wire passes through a final die by causing the cobalt to be attached to a surface of the brass-plated steel wire and alloyed with a brass layer while the brass-plated steel wire is passing through the drawing cones and the drawing dies to be subjected to multi-stage drawing.
Steel cord for rubber reinforcement and method for manufacturing the same
The present invention relates to a steel cord for rubber reinforcement. In the steel cord of the present invention, cobalt is contained by 0.001 ppm to 0.1 ppm within a 4 nm top-surface of the brass-plated steel wire. Producing carbon-based boundary films from catalytically active lubricant additives
A lubricant composition includes an oil including a plurality of long-chain hydrocarbon molecules. A quantity of a catalytically active metal-organic additive is mixed with the oil. The metal-organic additive is formulated to fragment the long-chain hydrocarbon molecules of the oil into at least one of dimers and trimers under the influence of at least one of a mechanical loading and a thermal loading.
