Steam generator
A steam generator for generating steam by boiling water, or other hot water heating device, in either case such as for use in a steam cooker or warewasher, includes a tank structure providing a heating chamber for holding water, and at least one heating element associated with the tank structure for heating water. The tank structure includes a main body wall having a U-shaped cross-sectional profile formed by opposed first and second side wall portions of the heating chamber and a curved bottom wall portion of the heating chamber, wherein the curved bottom wall portion is monolithic with the first and second side wall portions, wherein the main body wall is sheet metal material that has been curved.
Operation of a vaporizer of a domestic appliance
In a method for operating a vaporizer of a domestic appliance, the vaporizer is filled at least to a predetermined filling level. The vaporizer can be emptied using an emptying arrangement. A time measurement is started, when a filling level falls below the predetermined filling level. A heating system of the vaporizer is switched on, when the filling level falls below the predetermined filling level. The time measurement is stopped, when the heating system has overheated, and a delivery output is calculated during emptying of the vaporizer, from a duration for emptying that is determined by the time measurement.

Convection oven with linear counter-flow heat exchanger
A convection oven includes a cooking chamber for cooking a food product, an air circulator that circulates process air in a first direction through the cooking chamber and along a circulation path in a circulation passage. A heat exchanger includes one or more heat transfer ducts longitudinally arranged along the circulation path. One or more heating elements heat a fluid that is circulated in a second direction through the one or more heat transfer ducts which is opposite to the first direction. The process air absorbs heat from the heated fluid as the process air travels along the circulation path back to the cooking chamber. A partition wall may separate first and second parallel portions of the one or more heat transfer ducts. A heat exchanger may preheat fluid entering the one or more heat transfer ducts using heated fluid leaving the heat transfer ducts.

CONVECTION OVEN
An apparatus for cooking food articles comprises a casing having an interior having a plurality of cooking locations therein, a processor and a plurality of heat supply units adapted to provide a plurality of heated fluids to the interior of the casing wherein the processor is adapted to independently distribute the plurality of heated fluids to each of the plurality of cooking locations so as to not substantially effect adjacent cooking locations.
DEVICE FOR STEAM GENERATION AND WATER-BEARING DOMESTIC APPLIANCE WITH SUCH A DEVICE
A device for steam generation has a device housing, a heating chamber for water with a water inlet for connection to a water supply and a steam outlet. A heating element is provided on the heating chamber for heating up and evaporating water therein and has a metallic heating element carrier and heating conductors arranged thereon, preferably as thick-film heating conductors. The heating chamber and the heating element are arranged in the device housing. The heating element forms a wall of the heating chamber and is connected in sealing manner to other walls of the heating chamber. The heating chamber is in one extension direction longer than it is wide and deep in both extension directions vertical thereto. An electrical connection device for the device is provided laterally on an elongated side of the heating chamber on the device housing, in particular projecting laterally from the device housing in order to achieve a flat design.
