The first module includes a frame assembly, a recliner mechanism mounted within the frame assembly of the first module, a footrest assembly coupled to the recliner mechanism, and a backrest configured to be coupled to the recliner mechanism. The item of furniture further includes a first foot configured to be mounted on the first module and a second foot configured to be mounted on the second module. The item of furniture also includes a first clip configured to couple of the first foot to the second foot when the first module with the first foot mounted thereon abuts the second module with the second foot mounted thereon to thereby couple the first module and the second module.

A furniture device is disclosed comprising six individual pieces that interconnect to form a cube. The pieces include two substantially L-shaped side portions, one substantially L-shaped central portion adapted to fit between the two substantially L-shaped side portions, a substantially L-shaped top portion adapted to fit between the two substantially L-shaped side portions and on top of the substantially L-shaped central portion, and two arc-sided rectangle portions adapted to fit between the substantially L-shaped top portion and substantially L-shaped central portion. The six pieces can be arranged in a various forms.

In one embodiment, the digital bed system is comprised of an array of support cells. Each support cell is capable of communicating with a controller and increasing and decreasing in firmness in response to commands issued by a controller. The support cells are operatively connected to a communication channel that is also connected to a controller. The controller is capable of receiving data from the support cells and is also capable of issuing commands to each of the support cells. The controller is programmed issue commands to increase or decrease the firmness of individual support cells within the support cells.

In one embodiment, the digital bed system is comprised of an array of support cells. Each support cell is capable of communicating with a controller and increasing and decreasing in firmness in response to commands issued by a controller.
