A lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engines containing a base oil (A), a metal-based detergent (B) containing a calcium-based detergent (B1), a zinc dialkyldithiophosphate (C), and a molybdenum-containing compound (D), wherein a calcium atom-equivalent content of the calcium-based detergent (B1) is more than 100 ppm by mass and 600 ppm by mass or less, based on a total amount of the composition, a magnesium atom-equivalent content of a magnesium-based detergent (B2) is less than 200 ppm by mass, based on the total amount of the composition, a sodium atom-equivalent content of a sodium-based detergent (B3) is less than 200 ppm by mass, based on the total amount of the composition, a content ratio of phosphorus derived from the zinc dialkyldithiophosphate (C) to calcium derived from the calcium-based detergent (B1) [P/Ca] is 0.25 or more by mass, and a sulfated ash content is 0.7% by mass or less; and a method for producing the composition.

GREASE COMPOSITION FOR TAPERED ROLLER BEARING AND TAPERED ROLLER BEARING
To provide a grease composition for a tapered roller bearing having superior bearing lifetime under a condition of high temperature and a condition of high load, and a tapered roller bearing in which the grease composition for the tapered roller bearing is filled. A tapered roller bearing 11 includes an inner ring 12 having a raceway surface 12a, an outer ring 13 having a raceway surface 13a and a plurality of tapered rollers 14, and a flange part of the inner ring 12 gets into sliding contact with the tapered rollers 14. Grease 16 is filled around the tapered rollers 14. The grease 16 includes a base oil, a thickener and an additive. A frequency in which a storage modulus, which varies depending on frequency, of the grease 16 becomes minimum is equal to 7 Hz or more.

A lubricating oil composition is provided which comprises (a) greater than 50 wt. % of a base oil of lubricating viscosity; and (b) 0.1 to 40 wt. % of an overbased alkaline earth metal alkyl-substituted hydroxyaromatic carboxylate, wherein the alkyl substituent is a residue derived from an isomerized alpha-olefin having from 12 to 40 carbon atoms, and having a TBN, on an actives basis, of less than 600 mg KOH/g, as determined by ASTM D 2896; wherein the lubricating oil composition is a monograde lubricating oil composition meeting specifications for SAE J300 revised January 2015 requirements for a SAE 20, 30, 40, 50, or 60 monograde engine oil, and has a TBN of 5 to 200 mg KOH/g, as determined by ASTM D2896.
