USE OF O/W EMULSIONS FOR CHAIN LUBRICATION
The invention relates to the use of an O/W emulsion, in particular a PIT emulsion, for lubricating conveyor belt systems in food industries as well as a lubricant concentrate based on an O/W emulsion, in particular a PIT emulsion, of wax esters.
Conveyor lubricants including emulsion of a lipophilic compound and an emulsifier and/or an anionic surfactant and methods employing them
The present invention relates to conveyor lubricant compositions including an emulsion of a lipophilic compound and also including an emulsifier and/or an anionic surfactant. The present invention also relates to methods employing such lubricant compositions. In an embodiment, the method includes applying the present lubricant composition to a conveyor with a non-energized nozzle.
DRY LUBRICANT FOR CONVEYING CONTAINERS
The passage of a container along a conveyor is lubricated by applying to the container or conveyor a mixture of a water-miscible silicone material and a water-miscible lubricant. The mixture can be applied in relatively low amounts, to provide thin, substantially non-dripping lubricating films. In contrast to dilute aqueous lubricants, the lubricants of the invention provide drier lubrication of the conveyors and containers, a cleaner conveyor line and reduced lubricant usage, thereby reducing waste, cleanup and disposal problems.

DRY LUBRICATOR FOR PLASTIC AND STAINLESS STEEL SURFACES
A dry lubricant for conveyor belts and other surfaces set for lubricating through direct application via a nozzle is disclosed. Lubricants including a homogeneous mixture of fatty acids, a hydrocarbon such as a mineral oil, a sorbitan ester, and a polyglycol, which are substantially-free of water are disclosed. Methods of using the lubricants in dry and semi-dry modes are further disclosed.
Lubrication of transfer plates using an oil or oil in water emulsions
This disclosure relates to transfer plate lubricant compositions and methods of transporting open containers across stationary transfer plates.
Food grade lubricant for conveying food containers
A food grade lubricant composition includes an emulsion having 85%-95% w/w water, 1%-4% w/w polyalphaolefin 4, 1%-4% w/w sorbitan monolaurate, 2%-5% w/w polyoxyethylene 20 sorbitan monolaurate, and a food grade preservative.
LUBRICATION OF TRANSFER PLATES USING AN OIL OR OIL IN WATER EMULSIONS
This disclosure relates to transfer plate lubricant compositions and methods of transporting open containers across stationary transfer plates.
Lubricant compositions and methods for using the same
A lubricant composition with improved stability and tolerance for water hardness comprises a synthetic wax emulsion; an amine derivative; an emulsifier; and a sequestrant. The synthetic wax emulsion may include poly(ethyleneoxide)-based or poly(propyleneoxide)-based wax emulsions. The amine derivative may include alkyl C.sub.12-C.sub.14 oxy propyl diamine. The lubricant composition can be used for lubricating the passage of a container along a conveyor. The method includes applying the lubricant composition to at least a part of the container or the conveyor in an application cycle, where the application cycle includes a first period of time of dispensing the lubricant composition and a second period of time of not dispensing the lubricant composition.
MOBILITY ENHANCER USEFUL IN MANUFACTURING CONTAINERS
Provided herein are aqueous mobility enhancing compositions for improving travel of metal containers through a manufacturing process, including manufacturing equipment and conveyors; methods for making such compositions, and methods for reducing a coefficient of friction on a surface of a metal container by contacting the container with a disclosed composition and containers having a metal surface having a composition of the invention dried-in-place thereon. The compositions are useful for producing desirable slip angle characteristics on surfaces of metal containers that have been subjected only to cleaning processes, or that have been both cleaned and conversion coated.
