Medical device lubricant system and methods of use
11007306 · 2021-05-18 · ·

The present invention disclosed a lubricant system and methods of use. Said lubricant system comprises siloxane polymers with viscosity greater than 100 centistokes and cross-linking agents that can promote siloxane polymers curing rapidly in ambient conditions. The lubricant system comprises further hydroxy siloxane polymers, siloxane coupling agent, catalyst and volatile carrier solvents. The surfaces of medical devices are coated at least once, a solid lubrication film can be quickly formed, and the film has a very excellent lubricating performance and wide applications. The methods of use are simple, easy to implement and control, and is particularly suitable for rapid automatic production lines, and thus is of great economic value.

Low-friction and low-adhesion materials and coatings

Disclosed are materials that possess both low adhesion and the ability to absorb water. The material passively absorbs water from the atmosphere and then expels this water upon impact with debris, to create a self-cleaning layer. The lubrication reduces friction and surface adhesion of the debris (such as an insect), which may then slide off the surface. The invention provides a material comprising a continuous matrix including a polymer having a low surface energy (less than 50 mJ/m.sup.2) and a plurality of inclusions, dispersed within the matrix, each comprising a hygroscopic material. The continuous matrix and the inclusions form a lubricating surface layer in the presence of humidity. The material optionally contains porous nanostructures that inject water back onto the surface after an impact, absorbing water under pressure and then releasing water when the pressure is removed. The material may be a coating or a surface, for example.

LUBRICANT FOR CONVEYING CONTAINERS

The passage of a container along a conveyor is lubricated by applying to the container or conveyor a lubricant composition comprising a water-miscible silicone material having a silicone emulsion wherein the silicone emulsion contains less than 500 ppm of a triethanolamine salts of alkyl benzene sulfonic acid compounds.

LUBRICANTS THAT INCLUDE ALKYL ESTERS AND FATTY ACIDS

One or more embodiments presently described are directed to lubricants and methods for making such lubricants. According to one embodiment, a lubricant suitable for use in a water-based drilling fluid may comprise one or more alkyl esters and a fatty acid blend comprising at least palmitic acid and stearic acid. The sum of the weight percent of the palmitic acid and stearic acid may be at least 50 wt. % of the fatty acid blend. The weight ratio of the one or more alkyl esters to the fatty acid blend may be from 1:1 to 3:1. The molar ratio of palmitic acid to stearic acid may be from 20:80 to 40:60.

FIRE-RETARDANT MATERIALS

A fire-retardant material comprising from 25 to 50 wt % base oil, from 0.5 to 2.5 wt % polymer, from 0.1 to 1.0 wt % antioxidant, and from 50 to 75 wt % flame retardant.

SOLID FILM LUBRICANT, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, SLIDING ELEMENT COMPRISING SAME AND USE THEREOF
20200407592 · 2020-12-31 · ·

The invention relates to an imide polymer-based solid film lubricant, a method for producing same, a sliding element comprising same and the use thereof. According to the method, difunctional or cyclized difunctional compounds and optionally functional fillers are added to a non-imidized or partly imidized polyamide acid prepolymer or an imidized short-chain blocked prepolymer in a solvent or solvent mixture and then, depending on the prepolymer, a polymerization reaction or an imidization reaction and in both cases a crosslinking reaction is carried out. The solid film lubricant comprises an imide polymer as the resin matrix and optionally functional fillers, the molecules of the imide polymer comprising groups (R.sub.1) of the difunctional compounds that additionally contribute to the crosslinking.

The present invention relates to compositions in the form of silicone oil emulsions intended to be applied to curing bladders as a mould-release agent during tyre production.

Engine oil additive for enhancing engine function and improving fuel efficiency

The present invention provides an engine oil additive for enhancing engine function and improving fuel economy, the additive allowing engine oil particles to be ionized and fragmented by natural minerals simply and inexpensively without a separate device, such that the interval at which the engine oil particles come into contact with the inner wall of an engine decreases and the plasma state is maintained so as to prevent cations and anions from coupling to each other in liquid, and fuel economy is improved while engine activity is enhanced. To this end, the additive is obtained by mixing 1.5-2 wt % of tourmaline, 0.8-1 wt % of sericite, 0.5-0.8 wt % of monazite and 0.3-0.5 of elvan, in a powder form of 2-3 m into 95.7-96.9 wt % of a base oil so as to be added to an engine oil to be injected into an engine.
