Lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engine
Provided are a lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engine, containing a lubricating base oil containing a mineral oil and/or a synthetic oil, (A) an overbased calcium salicylate, (B) an overbased magnesium detergent, (C) a binuclear and/or trinuclear organic molybdenum compound, (D) a phenol-based antioxidant, and (E) an amine-based antioxidant, wherein the component (C), the component (D), and the component (E) are contained in specified contents on the basis of the whole amount of the lubricating oil composition; a method for producing the lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engine; and a lubrication method including using the lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engine.
Heat transfer methods, systems and compositions
Disclosed are refrigerants comprising at least about 97% by weight of a blend of three compounds, said blend consisting of: from about 40% by weight to about 49% by weight difluoromethane (HFC-32), from about 6% by weight to about 12% by weight pentafluoroethane (HFC-125), from about 33% by weight to about 40% by weight trifluoroiodomethane (CF.sub.3I); and from about 2% by weight to about 12% by weight of trans 1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (trans HFO-1234ze), wherein the percentages are based on the total weight of the three compounds in the blend, and systems and method using same.
Olefins and methods for making the same
Provided herein are olefinic feedstocks derived from conjugated hydrocarbon terpenes (e.g., C.sub.10-C.sub.30 terpenes), methods for making the same, and methods for their use.
HEAT TRANSFER METHODS, SYSTEMS AND COMPOSITIONS
The present invention relates to a refrigerant composition, including difluoromethane (HFC-32), pentafluoroethane (HFC-125), and trifluoroiodomethane (CF.sub.3I) for use in a heat exchange system, including air conditioning and refrigeration applications and in particular aspects to the use of such compositions as a replacement of the refrigerant R-410A for heating and cooling applications and to retrofitting heat exchange systems, including systems designed for use with R-410A.
Cleaning compositions employing extended chain anionic surfactants
The invention discloses synergistic combinations of surfactant blends and cleaning compositions employing the same. In certain embodiments a surfactant system is disclosed which includes an extended anionic surfactant with novel linker surfactants including one or more of an alkyl glycerol ether, an ethoxylated alkyl glycerol ether, an alcohol ethoxylate and/or a Gemini surfactant. This system forms emulsions with, and can remove greasy and oily stains, even those comprised of non-trans fats. The compositions may be used alone, as a pre-spotter or other pre-treatment or as a part of a soft surface or hard surface cleaning composition.
LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSTIONS
A lubricating oil composition which comprises a sulphur containing anti-oxidant and an alkene which exhibits improved nitrile elastomer seal compatibility.
LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION, AND PRECISION REDUCTION GEAR USING SAME
Provided are a lubricating oil composition containing a base oil, a specific thiophosphate compound (A) and a molybdenum-based compound (B), which exhibits excellent wear resistance and has a low friction coefficient in a broad range of contact pressures ranging from high to low; and a precision reduction gear using the lubricating oil composition.
Lubricant compositions containing hexene-based oligomers
Disclosed herein are oligomerization processes using feedstocks containing 1-hexene to produce an oligomer product, and methods for recovering a heavy 1-hexene oligomer from the oligomer product and hydrogenating the heavy 1-hexene oligomer. The resultant hydrogenated heavy 1-hexene oligomer can be blended with other PAO's to form 100 cSt and 40 cSt lubricant compositions, which have viscosity index and pour point properties that are equivalent to or better than respective 100 cSt and 40 cSt 1-decene PAO's.
High viscosity index monomethyl ester lubricating oil base stocks and methods of making and use thereof
A composition including one or more monomethyl ester compounds represented by the formula: ##STR00001##
R.sub.1 is a monomethyl branched C.sub.15 to C.sub.19 alkyl group and R.sub.2 is an unsubstituted C.sub.2 to C.sub.30 linear alkyl group. The composition has a viscosity (Kv.sub.100) from 1 cSt to 10 cSt at 100 C. as determined by ASTM D445, a viscosity index (VI) from 100 to 300 as determined by ASTM D2270, a pour point from 0 C. to 50 C. as determined by ASTM D97, and a Noack volatility of no greater than 50 percent as determined by ASTM D5800.
