Grease composition for constant velocity joints
A grease composition is intended primarily for use in constant velocity joints (CV joints), especially ball joints and/or tripod joints, which are used in the driveline of motor vehicles. The grease composition for use in constant velocity joints comprises at least one base oil, at least one thickener, zinc sulfide, as well as molybdenum disulfide and/or tungsten disulfide. Further, a constant velocity joint comprises the grease composition.
Prelubricated stock sheet and method and system for making the same
A pre-lubricated stock sheet and a method and system for making the same are described. The pre-lubricated stock is generally in a coil wound form. The stock sheet can have opposing first and second sheet surfaces joined together by opposing side edges and opposing ends. Typically, the first and second sheet surfaces are substantially smooth and planar, wherein the sheet has 3 mg/foot.sup.2/side to about 200 mg/foot.sup.2/side of a solid lubricant having a melting temperature from about 80 to 212 degrees Fahrenheit. Moreover, the opposing side edges usually are substantially free of the solid lubricant. In some configurations, the stock sheet is an aluminum stock sheet, more particularly an aluminum can stock sheet. Furthermore, the lubricant can be in some configurations a food grade lubricant, that is qualifies a low volatile organic compound under one or more of municipal, state and federal governing authorities.
Drilling fluid for downhole electrocrushing drilling
The disclosure relates to an electrocrushing drilling fluid with an electrocrushing drilling base fluid including a non-polar oil, water, and glycerin. Lubricating oil composition and method for defoaming lubricating oil, and defoaming agent composition
A lubricating oil composition including: a lubricating base oil; (A) a first defoaming agent, the first defoaming agent being (A1) a first polymer, or (A2) a second polymer, or any combination thereof; and (B) a second defoaming agent, the second defoaming agent being a silicone defoaming agent, the (A1) first polymer including: a first polymer chain including a polysiloxane structure, the polysiloxane structure having a polymerization degree of 5 to 2000 and being represented by the following general formula (1); and a second polymer chain bonded with the first polymer chain, the second polymer chain including a repeating unit represented by the following general formula (2), the (A2) second polymer being a copolymer of a first monomer component and a second monomer component, the first monomer component represented by the general formula (7) or (8), the second monomer component represented by the general formula (9). ##STR00001##
Lubricant and lubrication composition
The present invention relates to a lubricant containing molybdenum sulfide particles, and the molybdenum sulfide particles contain molybdenum disulfide having a 3R crystal structure. The present invention relates to a lubricating composition containing molybdenum sulfide particles, which are the lubricant, and a base oil which is a mineral oil, a synthetic oil, or a partially synthetic oil.
Lubricant composition containing ionic liquids
The present disclosure relates to a lubricant composition comprising a lubricant, a first ionic liquid which is soluble in polyalphaolefin and a second ionic liquid which is insoluble in polyalphaolefin. By using the two different ionic liquids, the technical properties of the lubricant compositions can be improved.
Sulfur-based extreme-pressure agent and metalworking fluid
In metalworking, the amount of sulfur supplied is stabilized in wide temperature and pressure ranges and under an external force, such as a shear force. Thus, a stable iron sulfide film can be formed on the metal surface, and lubricity can be maintained for extended periods. Furthermore, a bulky sulfurized fat or oil with a high molecular weight can be used to form a rigid lubricating oil film with a large oil film thickness on the metal surface and thereby prevent metals from approaching each other. A sulfur-based extreme-pressure agent containing a polysulfide (a) and a sulfurized fat or oil (b) at a mass ratio in the range of 1:0.1 to 1:10. A metalworking fluid containing the sulfur-based lubricating oil composition is also related to.
