In particular, the lubricating oil composition comprises: (A) a lubricant base oil; (B) an alkaline earth metal detergent; (C) a triazole-based compound represented by the following general formula (1) or (2): ##STR00001##
wherein R.sup.1-R.sup.6 are as defined herein; (D) at least one sulfur-containing compound selected from the group consisting of a sulfur-containing heterocyclic ether compound and a sulfide compound; and (E) an ashless dispersant.
Ultra-low friction materials for lubricating surfaces, devices therewith, and methods of manufacture and use thereof
A polymeric material mixture comprising a fluorine-containing polymer, a siloxane polymer, and at least two polymer processing additives (PPA), wherein the at least two polymer processing additives have different chemistries. For example, there can be a flexible coextruded pipe for providing a protective housing for cables, fluids, sludge or solids, the pipe comprising a pair of telescopically related inner and outer layers, where said inner layer is lubricated with the polymeric material mixture.

A lubricating oil composition may include a base oil (A), an olefin copolymer (B), and a poly(alkyl(meth)acrylate) (C), in which a weight average molecular weight of the olefin copolymer (B) is 10,000 to 80,000, a content of the olefin copolymer (B) is 0.01% to 0.23% by mass based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition, and a content of the poly(alkyl(meth)acrylate) (C) is 0.02% to 0.40% by mass based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition.
Ethylene-propylene branched copolymers as viscosity modifiers with enhanced fuel economy
In some embodiments, ethylene-propylene branched copolymers are synthesized with pyridyldiamido catalysts and a chain transfer agent, and their performance as viscosity modifiers in oil are detailed. In some embodiments, the present disclosure provides for ethylene-propylene branched copolymers having a shear thinning onset of less than about 0.01 rad/s and an HTHS value of less than about 3.3. In some embodiments, the ethylene-propylene branched copolymer is used as a viscosity modifier in a lubricating composition and a fuel composition.
