A chest may be configured to transition between an open position and a closed position, the chest including an enclosure configured to store a foldable mattress supported by a sleeping platform when the foldable mattress is in an unfolded state. The chest may include a top panel, a front panel, and side panels, the top panel configured to be manually lifted off of the chest to form a lower portion of the sleeping platform.
Folding bed system
A folding bed system includes a bed frame having a head section, a center section, and a foot section. The center section is connected to first and second slide mechanisms, and the head section is connected to first and second guide mechanisms. The slide and guide mechanisms are connectable to opposed walls of a structure. In some embodiments, a hinge assembly for a folding structure includes a center post securable to the center section, and a connecting bracket movably coupled with the center post that is vertically displaceable on the center post between a down position and an up position. A forward bracket is secured at one end to the connecting bracket and is securable at an opposite end to the head section, and an aft bracket is secured at one end to the connecting bracket and is securable at an opposite end to the foot section.

A drawer assembly is freely movable into and out of a drawer opening located below the front panel assembly. The drawer assembly is configured such that the front panel assembly is movable from the closed position to the opened position when the drawer assembly is located fully in the drawer opening.
Murphy bed chest
A folding bed chest system includes a cabinet having a front panel assembly movable from a closed position to an opened position, wherein when in the open position the front panel assembly is supportive of a mattress located thereon. A drawer assembly is freely movable into and out of a drawer opening located below the front panel assembly. The drawer assembly is configured such that the front panel assembly is movable from the closed position to the opened position when the drawer assembly is located fully in the drawer opening.

A furniture object, configured to store a foldable bed, may include a fixed panel and a foldable support platform including distal and proximate support panels. The fixed panel may include a bottom panel, an upper surface of the bottom panel at least partially defining a bottom inner surface of a compartment within an interior of the furniture object. The proximate support panel may be hingeably connected at opposite edges to the distal support panel and the one or more fixed panels via separate hingeable connections. The foldable support platform may between a folded position and a deployed position via a scissors-type motion. In the folded position, the foldable support platform may partially enclose the compartment. In the deployed position, the foldable support platform and bottom panel may collectively define a sleeping platform that structurally supports a bed resting on the proximate and distal support panels and the bottom panel.
