FURNITURE ARRANGEMENT
A stand-alone furniture arrangement may include a primary piece of furniture and a secondary piece of furniture fixedly arranged in an L-shape. The primary piece of furniture may include a hinge allowing the primary piece of furniture to transform from a first configuration to a second configuration. The second configuration may correspond to a bed having an essentially horizontal sleeping surface and with a longitudinal extension corresponding to the intended head-to-toe sleeping orientation of a user. The hinge may extend in parallel with a longitudinal extension of the second configuration.

Concealable Bed System
Several embodiments of a new concealable bed system, which comprises a new combination of a folding bed assembly (112), a drawer assembly (110), and a drawer support-and-control assembly (120) are disclosed. The embodiments allow the space-savings and convenience of sleeper sofas to be extended to a wide variety of other furniture types or other constructions, including but not limited to desks, entertainment centers, cabinets, closets, etc. In the closed position, the embodiments can look like any other drawer in a piece of furniture, custom millwork, etc., but when opened the folding bed assembly is exposed and can be easily deployed. Thus the new concealable bed system provides a more efficient, durable, and flexible option for concealing a bed than sleeper sofas, Murphy beds, trundle beds, roll-away beds, or inflatable beds.

Each support cell is capable of communicating with a controller and increasing and decreasing in firmness in response to commands issued by a controller. The support cells are operatively connected to a communication channel that is also connected to a controller. The controller is capable of receiving data from the support cells and is also capable of issuing commands to each of the support cells. The controller is programmed issue commands to increase or decrease the firmness of individual support cells within the support cells.
