LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION
A lubricating oil composition prepared by blending a base oil (A) containing a compound (A1) that is an ester or ether and has two or more aromatic rings, with a polyalkylene glycol (B) is provided. The lubricating oil composition has a high density (i.e., a high bulk modulus), a high viscosity index, and excellent shear stability.

Aqueous cutting fluid composition
A water-based cutting fluid that comprises water and a water-soluble polyalkylene glycol (PAG) having cloud point from 30° C. to 80° C. The cutting fluid is water-based, i.e., it comprises at least 50 percent by weight (wt %) water. The cutting fluids are well suited for use with diamond wiresaws for the cutting of silicon ingots. The fluids exhibit one or more of low hydrogen generation, no wafer cleaning issues, good lubricity, good cooling efficiency, good swarf suspension and dispersion, low foaming, are generally non-sensitive to metal ions, and are nonflammable.
Conveyor lubricants including emulsion of a lipophilic compound and an emulsifier and/or an anionic surfactant and methods employing them
The present invention relates to conveyor lubricant compositions including an emulsion of a lipophilic compound and also including an emulsifier and/or an anionic surfactant. The present invention also relates to methods employing such lubricant compositions. In an embodiment, the method includes applying the present lubricant composition to a conveyor with a non-energized nozzle.
Lubricating composition
A hydraulic lubricating oil composition is provided which contains a synergistic mixture of three phosphorous antiwear components in order to provide good thermal stability and good demulsibility to the lubricating oil composition.
LUBRICATING COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTING OR REDUCING PRE-IGNITION IN AN ENGINE
The present invention relates to a lubricating composition for an engine, in particular for a motor vehicle engine, comprising at least one base oil and at least one compound able to release formaldehyde under the temperature and pressure conditions of the combustion chamber of the engine.
It also relates to the use, in a lubricating composition intended for an engine, of a compound able to release formaldehyde under the temperature and pressure conditions of the combustion chamber of the engine, as an additive for preventing and/or reducing pre-ignition, in particular low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI).
Additive Tackifier Agent for Water-Soluble Lubricants
A composition for an aqueous tacky lubricant, specifically targeted towards increasing lubricant retention to the moving components of chainsaws. More specifically, the composition includes a novel additive composition for environmentally-neutral lubricants. The ideal function of the composition would be to increase the adhesive qualities of an aqueous lubricant without compromising the coolant and lubricant roles of such a substance. To accomplish this, the composition includes an additive compound, that is made of a linear anionic polyamide and a cationic surfactant. The reaction between the linear anionic polyamide and the cationic surfactant creates a viscoelastic tackifier that helps the lubricant to cling to a moving chain thus preventing the lubricant from flinging off the chain when in motion. In other words, the additive compound is a tackifier agent, presented as novel both as an independent composition and in addition to extant lubricants.
LUBRICATION METHOD WITH ALKOXYLATED PERFLUOROPOLYETHER
A lubrication method comprising applying to a surface to be lubricated a polymer comprising a partially or fully fluorinated, straight or branched, polyoxyalkylene chain (chain R.sub.f) having two chain ends, wherein one or both chain end(s) bear(s) a hydroxy- or alkoxy-terminated polyoxyalkylene chain free from fluorine atoms (chain R.sub.a), said chain comprising from 4 to 50 fluorine-free oxyalkylene units, said units being the same or different from one another and being selected from —CH.sub.2CH.sub.2O— and —CH.sub.2CH(J)O—, wherein J is independently straight or branched alkyl or aryl, with the proviso that, if both chain ends bear a hydroxy-terminated chain Ra comprising only —CH.sub.2CH.sub.2O— units, chain Rf does not consist only of —CF.sub.2CF.sub.2O-units. Lubricant compositions containing the polymer and methods for preparing the polymer are also herein disclosed.
