A method for preparing a tetrafluoro-1,2-epoxypropane comprising reacting a 3-acetoxy-2-bromo-tetrafluoropropane with an alkaline or alkaline earth metal hydroxide solution to provide a tetrafluoro-1,2-epoxypropane, and partially fluorinated polyethers of formula [OCRR.sub.1CR.sub.2R.sub.3].sub.n wherein n is from 5 to 100, R is F or H, R.sub.1 is CF.sub.3, R.sub.2 is F or H and R.sub.3 is H.

What is provided is a fluorine-containing ether compound represented by the following formula. The fluorine-containing ether compound is represented by the following formula (1): R.sup.1—R.sup.2—CH.sub.2—R.sup.3—CH.sub.2—R.sup.4. In the formula (1), R.sup.1 is represented by the following formula (2), R.sup.2 is represented by the following formula (3), R.sup.3 is a perfluoropolyether chain, and R.sup.4 is an organic end group different from R.sup.1—R.sup.2— and contains two or three polar groups, wherein each polar group is bonded to a different carbon atom, and the carbon atoms to which the polar groups are bonded are bonded to one another via a linking group containing a carbon atom to which the polar group is not bonded. Provided is a fluorine-containing ether compound capable of forming a lubricant layer having excellent wear resistance even when the thickness is thin, and suitable as a material of a lubricant for a magnetic recording medium. The fluorine-containing ether compound is a compound represented by the following formula (1): R.sup.1—R.sup.2—CH.sub.2—R.sup.3—CH.sub.2—R.sup.4—R.sup.5; wherein R.sup.3 is a perfluoropolyether chain; R.sup.1 is a terminal group bonded to R.sup.2; R.sup.5 is a terminal group bonded to R.sup.4; R.sup.1 is an alkenyl group or an alkynyl group; R.sup.5 is a group containing a heterocyclic ring; R.sup.2 is represented by the following formula (2); R.sup.4 is represented by the following formula (3); and a in the formula (2) and b in the formula (3) are each independently an integer of 1 to 3. ##STR00001##

Coating composition for producing article having slippery surface
The present invention relates to a coating composition that can produce an article having an inner surface and an outer surface, both of which are slippery, and a method for preparing the same. By using the coating composition according to the present invention, it is possible to produce the article having the inner surface and the outer surface, both of which are slippery, only with a simple process of molding and curing a polymer resin by the technique of the prior art. The article produced using the coating composition of the present invention can solve an ice removal on a surface of the machinery such as an aircraft and an automobile, a biofouling problem in a blood vessel, a problem requiring self-cleaning, and the like, and thus can be used in various industries.
Grease composition for resin lubrication and sliding member having sliding surface made of resin
The invention provides a grease composition for lubrication of a sliding surface made of resin, including a fluorine-based base oil and a synthetic hydrocarbon oil as a base oil; a fluorine-based thickener, and a lithium soap thickener or a lithium complex soap thickener as a thickener; and an extreme pressure additive as an additive. The invention also provides a sliding member including a sliding surface made of a resin wherein the grease composition for lubrication is applied to the sliding surface made of a resin.

A composition comprising a heat transfer portion and a lubricating portion, wherein the lubricating portion comprises one or more compounds according to formula (I) of the present disclosure, wherein W is H; Y is independently selected from the group consisting of F, Cl, Br and I; Z is independently selected from the group consisting of H, OH, (CW.sub.2).sub.PCW.sub.3, CY.sub.3, OCW.sub.3, 0(CW.sub.2).sub.pCW.sub.3, OCW((CY.sub.2).sub.mCY.sub.3)CWCW.sub.2, polyalkylene glycol and polyolester; n is an integer from 2 to 250; m is an integer from 0 to 3; and p is an integer from 0 to 9.
