Hybrid Grease with Low Friction Coefficients and High Wearing Protection
A hybrid grease is provided having low coefficients of friction and high wear protection which is employable over a wide temperature range. The hybrid grease includes a combination of a grease based on a silicone oil in conjunction with a grease based on synthetic hydrocarbon oils, mineral oils or polyglycols. The hybrid grease may especially be used to lubricate joints in vehicle parts based on plastic-steel pairings.
THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITION
Lubricant grease compositions comprising a silicone base stock oil having a kinematic viscosity of from 20,000 to 100,000 mm.sup.2/s at 25° C., a metal salt of a fatty acid wherein the metal is selected from the group of lithium, calcium, aluminium, barium titanium, zinc, magnesium and/or sodium; and a suitable anti-wear additive.
OIL AND GAS WELL FLUIDS
A drilling mud is provided, the drilling mud comprising green diesel comprising de-oxygenated oil, water; and one or more fine particle solids. The green diesel may be formed from an edible oil or non-edible feedstock. The drilling mud fine particle solids comprise bentonite, barite, ferrophosphate ore, calcite, or siderite. The drilling mud may comprise stabilizing additives such as emulsifiers, weighting agents, fluid loss additives, alkali reserves, and viscosity regulators. In other embodiments, lubricants for drilling fluids comprise green diesel and lubricity additives such as solvents, esters, and surfactants. The lubricant may further comprise graphite or polytetrafluoroethylene. A slurry for use in oil and gas drilling operations comprises green diesel, polysaccharides or polyacrylamides, and a thickener such as silica, bentonite clay, and waxes. A wireline lubricant comprises green diesel, one or more block polymers, and one or more corrosion inhibitors.
BICYCLE LUBRICANT
A bicycle chain lubricant that may be applied as a coating on a bicycle chain is a crystalline solid at ambient temperatures, yet when the chain is in motion the forces around internal components locally transforms the coating to a lubricous fluid. This increases chain efficiency in the drive train and reduces ware by limiting water and dirt access to chain internal components.
Composite bearing with enhanced wear and machinability
A self-lubricating composite material is disclosed. The self-lubricating composite material can include discontinuous polymer fiber segments dispersed within a woven matrix of semi-continuous thermoplastic fiber. The woven matrix can be embedded within a thermosetting resin. Also disclosed are methods of manufacturing the self-lubricating composite material.
LUBRICATING GREASE COMPOSITION
A lubricating grease composition, and more specifically, to a lubricating grease composition which, when used with an article clamping device, such as a chuck, produces excellent lubricating properties whilst remaining strongly adhered to metal parts in the clamping mechanism of the device and showing enhanced chemical and physical resistance to fluids such as cutting fluids with which they come into contact.
FLUOROCARBON, LUBRICANT FOR USE ON ICE AND SNOW, AND COATING METHOD
A laminate including a target, a coating film of a lubricant containing a paraffin wax and carbon fluoride formed on the target. The carbon fluoride is graphite fluoride having a proportion of 0.1 to 2.0% by mass relative to the paraffin wax. Further, an amount of the carbon fluoride in a vicinity of a target on which the coating film is formed is larger than an amount of the carbon fluoride on a surface opposite the target. Also disclosed is a method of coating a target as well as snow or ice sliding equipment.
LUBRICANT COMPOSITION, SLIDING APPARATUS, FIXING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE-FORMING APPARATUS
Provided is a lubricant composition having small shear rate dependence of its apparent viscosity. The lubricant composition includes a perfluoropolyether as a base oil, and fluorine resin particles as a thickener. The lubricant composition further includes a fluorine-containing polymer having a tetrafluoroethylene structure under a state in which the polymer is dissolved in the perfluoropolyether.

Motor Oil Blend and Method for Reducing Wear on Steel and Eliminating ZDDP in Motor Oils by Modifying the Plastic Response of Steel
An environmentally-improved motor oil blend and related methods for properly lubricating components of an engine and favorably modifying a plastic response of components of the engine, the blend being free of zinc di-alkyl-di-thiophosphates (ZDDP) and free of zinc di-thiophosphate (ZDTP), comprising: a motor oil selected from the motor oil group consisting of Group I, Group II, Group III, Group IV, and Group V motor oils; a motor oil additive comprising alpha-olefins and hydroisomerized hydro-treated severe hydrocracked base oil; ZDDP omitted from the chemical constituents of the motor oil; and ZDTP omitted from the chemical constituents of the motor oil.
