Intensive use furniture
The invention is directed to an intensive use furniture component having a sealing connection on a mounting surface for sealingly attaching to a floor or wall to prevent liquid from seeping under or behind the furniture component. The furniture component is formed by an outer shell having a side wall extending generally perpendicular to the mounting surface. A mounting flange is disposed adjacent the sidewall. A bolt hole is formed in the mounting flange. The sealing connection comprises a caulk channel formed as a channel in the mounting surface for receiving a bead of caulk to fill the seam between the mounting surface and the wall or floor to prevent fluid from seeping past the caulk channel to a space adjacent the interior mounting surface.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CIRCULATING AIR THROUGH A BED FRAME
Systems and methods for circulating air through a bed frame are provided. In one embodiment, a system may include a bed frame that defines an internal chamber. A first vent in the bed frame may be configured to receive air from outside the internal chamber to inside the internal chamber. A second vent in the bed frame may be configured to expel air from inside the internal chamber to outside the internal chamber. A fan disposed within the internal chamber between the first vent and the second vent may be configured to move air within the internal chamber from the first vent to the second vent.
Foldout bed
A foldout bed is described. The foldout bed has a left side wall, a right side wall, and a top panel that extends between and attached to the top ends of the two side walls. The bottom end of each side wall is coupled with a counterbalance mechanism. A bed tray is pivotally coupled with a the counterbalance mechanisms and is transitionable between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The bed tray provides a unitary planar surface that is configured to support a mattress and a person when in the open configuration. Each counterbalance mechanism has a frame and a piston that attaches the frame to the bed tray. The frame has a base flange disposed perpendicular to the side walls and located at the bottommost end of the counterbalance mechanism against a base plate of the wall.
METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING A MATTRESS FOUNDATION
A shippable mattress foundation that assembles quickly without any tools, ship in a small Fedex/UPS package, fits easier on a skid in a retail store, and allows an end customer to take it home in a car. It holds over 2500 lbs. of distributed weight, allows for easy attachment of a headboard of various dimensions, has an attractive optionable, washable and detachable outer stylish cover, and is designed to allow up to 12 of underneath storage. Also has stamped holes for receipt of the cross slats and a bespoken plastic clip for adjoining the cross slats.
Bedding foundation having roller movable for massage effect
A bedding foundation has a linear actuator for moving a roller carriage forward and backwards. The roller carriage includes wheels which move along rails supported below a rigid platform having an opening extending through the platform. The roller carriage includes a lifter which raises and lowers a roller independently of the movement of the linear actuator. Regardless of the position of the linear actuator, the roller may be raised or lowered. The roller moves back and forth inside the opening extending through the rigid platform and imparts a massage movement to a mattress above the foundation.
Waterbed Frame Assembly
A waterbed frame assembly for rolling a waterbed on a surface includes a box that defines an interior space. The box has a top that is open so that the top is configured to insert a waterbed mattress into the interior space. A frame is coupled to a bottom of the box. The frame comprises a plurality of interconnected crossbeams so that the frame is gridded. The frame comprises metal. A plurality of rollers is coupled to the frame. The rollers are opposingly positioned on the frame relative to the box. The rollers are configured to facilitate locomotion of the box on a surface.
FLOATING BEDS
A device comprising: a bed frame comprising a platform frame and a headboard frame, wherein the platform frame is T-shaped as defined via a leg portion and a platform portion, wherein the platform portion comprises a spine portion extending longitudinally over the leg portion, wherein the headboard frame defines a U-shaped channel, wherein the spine portion extends through the U-shaped channel and the headboard frame is non-perpendicularly oriented to the platform portion when the headboard frame spans between a wall and a floor, the platform portion is secured to the wall cantileveredly, and the headboard frame is secured to the wall distal to the floor.
MODULAR MATTRESS SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Modular mattress systems and methods are described. For example, a modular mattress can include a fabric cover configured to surround at least two foam layers. The fabric cover can include an opening to allow access to an interior region of the fabric cover. The mattress can include a first foam layer positioned within the interior region of the fabric cover, and an encasement layer positioned below the first foam layer. The encasement layer can include a recess configured to receive one or more modular support sections. The mattress can also include a plurality of modular support components received within the recess of the encasement.
Headboard apparatus for holding a decorative cover
An apparatus for holding a decorative cover. The apparatus includes a body having front and rear opposite sides, the front side of the body having a front surface having a perimeter, the rear side of the body having a rear surface, and the body having an outwardly facing lateral surface between the front and rear surfaces; and a first connector on the body, the first connector detachably connectable, continuously adjacent at least a portion of the perimeter of the front surface, to a second connector, complementary to the first connector, on the decorative cover. A furniture apparatus includes at least one substantially thermoplastic body and one or both of diatomaceous earth and a PA1b-related peptide incorporated in one or more of the at least one body.
Folding, shippable, strong, inexpensive foundation for a mattress
A novel form of mattress foundation a part of bedding system having a capability for folding and portability with light weight and higher strength material where the mattress foundation comprising of metal structure made up of wire in square shape to provide a smooth surface and is cut into a head section and foot section hinged from middle to provide folding and unfolding possibility. The top outer ring of square tube is 14 legs that make up 6 pivoting circular pipes that when unfolded give the foundation the correct height and strength to act just like a normal foundation/box spring sleep system.
