Lubricant composition containing an antiwear agent
The invention provides a lubricant composition comprising an oil of lubricating viscosity and 0.01 wt % to 15 wt % of a (thio)phosphoric acid salt of an N-hydrocarbyl-substituted gamma- (-) or delta-amino(thio)ester. The invention further relates to a method of lubricating a mechanical device with the lubricant composition.
WATER-SOLUBLE METALWORKING OIL, AND METALWORKING COOLANT
A water-soluble metalworking fluid of the invention contains a component (A) that is a dicarboxylic acid including a sulfide structure and a component (B) that is a monocarboxylic acid, in which the fluid contains no polyalkylene glycol. A metalworking coolant of the invention is provided by diluting the above-described water-soluble metalworking fluid with water.
LUBRICANT OIL COMPOSITION FOR SPARK IGNITION TYPE INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING LUBRICANT OIL COMPOSITION, SPARK IGNITION TYPE INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE USING LUBRICANT OIL COMPOSITION, AND METHOD FOR LUBRICATING INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Provided are a lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engine capable of preventing a deterioration of the combustion state of a spark-ignition internal combustion engine, specifically, a lubricating oil composition to be used for a spark-ignition internal combustion engine in which a total tension per piston of tensions applied to the piston ring is 100 N or less, the lubricating oil composition being a lubricating oil composition including a base oil, (A) a calcium-based detergent, at least one selected from (B1) a sodium-based additive and (B2) a magnesium-based additive, and (C) an ash-free sulfur-based additive in predetermined contents; a method for producing the lubricating oil composition; a spark-ignition internal combustion engine using the lubricating oil composition; and a method for lubricating the internal combustion engine.
Water-Based Lubricants for Conveyor Belts
The invention relates to water-based lubricants for conveyor belts. More particularly, the invention relates to water-based lubricants for conveyor belts for the drinks industry.
Ionic Liquid, Lubricant, and Magnetic Recording Medium
A lubricant, which includes an ionic liquid including a conjugate base and a conjugate acid including 2 or more cations in a molecule of the conjugate acid, wherein the conjugate acid includes a monovalent group including a straight-chain hydrocarbon group having 6 or more carbon atoms, and an acid that is a source of the conjugate base has a pKa in acetonitrile of 10 or less.
WATER-SOLUBLE METALWORKING FLUID, AND METALWORKING COOLANT
A water-soluble metalworking fluid of the invention contains: a component (A) that is a dicarboxylic acid including a sulfide structure; a component (B) that is a polyalkylene glycol; a component (C) that is polyhydric alcohol polyalkylene oxide adducts; and a component (D) that is a monocarboxylic acid.
Synergistic mixture
A synergistic mixture comprising from 1 to 99.9% by weight of compounds having structural elements (I) ##STR00001##
in which the free valencies on the oxygen atom and on the nitrogen atom may be combined to form a five-, six- or seven-membered ring and the benzene ring may also bear substituents at one or more of the free positions, and from 0.1 to 99% by weight of sulfur-containing organic compounds with antioxidant action. This synergistic mixture is suitable as a stabilizer for stabilizing inanimate organic material, especially mineral oil products and fuels, against the action of light, oxygen and heat.
Lubricating oil composition for refrigerating machines
A lubricating oil composition for refrigerating machines contains a base oil and an additive in a form of a coumarin compound. When the present lubricating oil composition for refrigerating machines is used in refrigerating equipment such as an open-type automobile air-conditioner, an electric automobile air-conditioner, a gas heat pump, other air-conditioning equipment, a refrigerating machine, a vending machine, a showcase, a water-heating system and a refrigerating/heating system, it is possible to detect the leakage of a refrigerant with a long-lasting stability. Therefore, when an unsaturated chlorofluorocarbon refrigerant with a poor stability is used in the above-listed equipment, the present lubricating oil composition for refrigerating machines is significantly advantageous.
STABILIZATION OF ISOTHIAZOLONES IN AQUEOUS COMPOSITIONS
An aqueous composition comprising: (a) at least one 3-isothiazolone; and (b) at least one tertiary amine having three C.sub.2-C.sub.6 hydroxyalkyl groups, wherein at least one of the hydroxyalkyl groups has a secondary hydroxyl group.
MIXTURES OF FRICTION MODIFIERS TO PROVIDE GOOD FRICTION PERFORMANCE TO TRANSMISSION FLUIDS
Mixtures of friction modifiers provide excellent friction performance to transmission fluids, where the friction modifiers include an N-substituted oxalic acid bisamide or amide-ester containing at least two hydrocarbyl groups of 12 to 22 carbon atoms; and an amide or thioamide represented by R.sup.1R.sup.2NC(X)R.sup.3 where X is O or S, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are hydrocarbyl groups of at least 6 carbon atoms, and R.sup.3 is hydroxyalkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a condensate thereof.
