Synergistic lubricants with reduced electrical conductivity
A method of lubricating at least a portion of a powertrain in a vehicle with an electric motor with a functional fluid composition containing greater than 50 wt % of a base oil; and an additive composition prepared by mixing: a) a hydrocarbyl acid phosphate of the formula (I) to provide at least 50 ppmw phosphorus to the functional fluid composition; ##STR00001##
wherein R is a C.sub.1-C.sub.6 hydrocarbyl group and R.sub.1 is selected from hydrogen and a C.sub.1-C.sub.6 hydrocarbyl group; b) an amount of one or more calcium-containing detergent(s) sufficient to provide at least 25 ppmw calcium to the functional fluid composition; and c) one or more nitrogen containing dispersants in an amount sufficient to provide greater than 20 ppmw of nitrogen to the functional fluid composition, all based on the total weight of the functional fluid composition. Functional fluid compositions containing the above-mentioned components and lubricating methods are also disclosed herein.
LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITIONS FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS
The present invention generally relates to lubricating oil compositions useful for automatic transmissions, and particularly transmission oils for automotive automatic transmissions in battery electrical vehicles (BEVs), hybrid vehicles (HVs) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHVs). The lubricant is free of metal compounds (e.g., Ca, Mo, or Zn) and demonstrates high volume resistivity, wear protection, and copper corrosion resistance.
FLUORINATED ESTERS AS LUBRICANTS FOR HEAT TRANSFER FLUIDS
The present disclosure provides compounds of formula (I), and preparation method thereof,
##STR00001## wherein W is independently selected from the group consisting of H, F, Cl, Br and I; X is independently selected from the group consisting of H, F, Cl, Br, I, CW.sub.3 and OR on the basis that at least one X is OR; R is independently selected from the group consisting of C(O)CH.sub.2).sub.m(CF.sub.2).sub.nY and CW.sub.2C(CW.sub.2OC(O)(CH.sub.2).sub.m(CF.sub.2).sub.nY).sub.3; m is an integer from 0 to 2; 15 n is an integer from 2 to 8; Y is C(Z).sub.3; and Z is independently selected from the group consisting of H, F, Cl, Br and I. Such compounds may be utilised as lubricants, for example in heat transfer compositions.
Metal working fluid
Aqueous metal working fluids, concentrates thereof, and processes to reduce the presence of Mycobacterium in the aqueous metal working fluids, or in a metal working environment.
AN ADDITIVE COMPOSITION FOR HYDRAULIC FLUIDS OR HEAT TRANSFER FLUIDS
An additive composition for a hydraulic fluid, or a heat transfer fluid, comprises one or more phosphate esters derived from the esterification of phosphoric acid and one or more monomer glycols containing up to 18 carbon atoms, or combinations thereof. In addition, the additive composition may comprise one or more corrosion inhibitors selected from the group consisting of dicarboxylic acids, alkanolamines or combinations thereof; one or more antioxidants including selected from the group consisting of one or more organosulfur compounds, one or inorganic oxyanion salts or combinations thereof; and, one or more surfactants.
Lubricant composition for hydraulic oil
The present invention relates to a lubricant composition, and more particularly to a lubricant composition, which has superior oxidation stability and friction characteristics even under harsh conditions of high temperature and high pressure and is thus suitable for use in hydraulic oil. The lubricant composition of the present invention includes a base oil, a liquid olefin copolymer, a phosphorothioate compound, and phosphonium phosphate.
Novel Anti-oxidant Compounds and Compositions
Trisubstituted triazine antioxidants.
CONVEYOR LUBRICANTS INCLUDING EMULSION OF A LIPOPHILIC COMPOUND AND AN EMULSIFIER AND/OR AN ANIONIC SURFACTANT AND METHODS EMPLOYING THEM
The present invention relates to conveyor lubricant compositions including an emulsion of a lipophilic compound and also including an emulsifier and/or an anionic surfactant. The present invention also relates to methods employing such lubricant compositions. In an embodiment, the method includes applying the present lubricant composition to a conveyor with a non-energized nozzle.
LUBRICATING COMPOSITION
A hydraulic lubricating oil composition is provided which contains a synergistic mixture of three phosphorous antiwear components in order to provide good thermal stability and good demulsibility to the lubricating oil composition.
