COMPOSITIONS, SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR INTRODUCING POE LUBRICANT INTO AN ELECTRIC (HEV, PHEV, EV) AUTOMOTIVE AIR-CONDITIONING/HEATING SYSTEM OR STATIONARY AIR-CONDITIONING/HEATING SYSTEM OR STATIONARY REFRIGERATION SYSTEM USING LOWER OR LOW GWP REFRIGERANT OR REFRIGERANT BLENDS
Compositions, systems and methods for introducing lubricants, and additives, that are designed to work with environmentally friendly refrigerants into vehicle heat management systems including passenger compartment air conditioning (A/C) systems are disclosed. Methods for charging lubricants and specific additives using environmentally desirable (low GWP) refrigerant or refrigerant blend compositions into an environmentally friendly system, such as a system that uses HFO-1234yf, are also disclosed.
Lubrication method
A method of lubricating an expandable rubber bladder is described for use during a vulcanization of a green tire within a metal press. The method can include applying compositions in the form of emulsions of silicone oils to the inner surface of the green tires and/or to the outer surface of the vulcanization bladders to facilitate the molding-demolding thereof during the manufacture of the tires.
System, composition and method of application of same for reducing the coefficient of friction and required pulling force during installation of wire or cable
A composition and method for reducing the coefficient of friction and required pulling force of a wire or cable are provided. A composition of aqueous emulsion is provided that is environmentally friendly, halogen free and solvent free. The composition is compatible with various types of insulating materials and may be applied after the wire or cable is cooled and also by spraying or submerging the wire or cable in a bath. The composition contains lubricating agents that provide lower coefficient of friction for wire or cable installation and continuous wire or cable surface lubrication thereafter.
Pigmented, Fine-Structured, Tribological Composite Material
A composition for producing a tribological composite material includes at least one platelet-shaped solid-state lubricant, at least one type of inorganic, platelet-shaped pigment particles, at least one surface-active compound which possesses at least one hydrophilic group and at least one hydrophobic group, and a curable binder system comprising at least one organic polymer or oligomer having one or more functional groups, or a precursor thereof.
Relating to lubricating compositions
A lubricating oil composition, a method of reducing low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) in a direct-injected spark-ignited internal combustion engine, and a use of a lubricant composition to reduce LSPI events in such an engine. Preferably, the composition comprises a detergent comprising an overbased calcium detergent having a total base number (TBN) of at least 150, wherein the lubricating oil composition has a calcium content of at least 0.08 wt. %, based on the weight of the lubricating oil composition, and wherein the lubricating oil composition has a silicon content of at least 12 ppm by weight, based on the weight of the lubricating oil composition.
Fluids for Extreme Pressure and Wear Applications
Provided are compositions, additives for forming compositions, methods of operating apparatus in fluid communication with the compositions, and apparatus comprising the compositions. For example, the composition may include a polyalphaolefin component of from about 95% to about 99.5% w/w. The composition may include an additive component. The additive component may include an anti-wear agent. The anti-wear agent may be from about 0.1% to about 2% w/w. The anti-wear component may be characterized by an acid value of at least about 1 mg KOH/g. The additive component may include an aryl amine antioxidant agent, an anti-rust agent, and a metal deactivator agent. The composition may be characterized by a kinematic viscosity at 100 C. of at least about 5 centiStokes, a viscosity index of at least about 80, and an acid value in mg KOH/g of between about 0.1 and about 1.
LUBRICANT COMPOSITION AND USES THEREOF
A lubricant composition comprising one or several poly-alpha olefin homopolymer(s), a suspension of particles having a size between 0.5 m and 25 m and an additive, and uses thereof in the glass industry, such as in the production of hollow glasses for the packaging of products to be applied on mammals.
Defoaming agent and lubricating oil composition
A defoaming agent obtainable by a process that includes: polymerizing (A) at least one polymerizable monomer in a composition, the composition comprising (C) a solvent and (B) at least one non-polymerizable polysiloxane dissolved in the (C) solvent, wherein the component (A) optionally comprises at least one Si-atom-containing monomer in an amount of less than 10 mass % on the basis of the total mass of the component (A).
WORKING OIL FOR HYDRAULIC SHOCK ABSORBER, AND HYDRAULIC SHOCK ABSORBER
[Problem]
Provided is an operating oil for shock absorber in which influences against rubber materials are controlled.
[Solution]
An operating oil coming into contact with a rubber material, the operating oil containing a polyalkylene glycol and at least one base oil selected from a fatty acid diester, a poly-alfa-olefin, and a lubricating oil classified as GIII in American Petroleum Institute (API).
[Effect]
According to the operating oil, in view of the fact that swelling properties of a rubber material, such as a seal material, etc., are reduced, conventionally used rubber materials can be used without being changed.
Lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engines
A lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engines containing a base oil mixture with specific properties and a monoglyceride with a specific structure. The lubricating oil composition of the present 5 invention, as well as providing outstanding wear resistance and fuel economy, causes condensed water etc. from water vapor produced as a result of fuel combustion to be dispersed in the oil, so preventing corrosion or rusting of the engine.
