Method for producing biolubricant from vegetable oil, and biolubricant
The present invention describes a process for obtaining a biolubricant from vegetable oil, which comprises the steps of (a) esterification reaction of the product of vegetable oil hydrolysis using a branched aliphatic alcohol; (b) epoxidation reaction of the esters obtained in step (a); and (c) nucleophilic substitution reaction of the epoxidated esters obtained in step (b) using a branched aliphatic alcohol. The present invention also describes a biolubricant obtained from the process. More specifically, a biolubricant is described that is produced from a ricinoleic fatty acid, whose formula is illustrated in FIG. 1 of the present invention, and where R.sub.1 is a hydroxyl or it is from the formula R.sub.3COO.sup.−, with R.sub.3 being an alkyl radical C.sub.1-C.sub.3, preferably a methyl radical; and R.sub.2 consists of a straight chain of hydrocarbons C.sub.4-C.sub.8 and a branched chain of hydrocarbons C.sub.1-C.sub.3.
THERMAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The present invention provides a thermal management system comprising a housing having an interior space; a heat-generating component disposed within the interior space; a heat exchanger; and a working fluid liquid disposed within the interior space wherein the heat-generating component is in contact with the working fluid. The working fluid comprises a Fischer-Tropsch derived base fluid; an antioxidant and anti-static additives. The system is constructed wherein a constant cyclical flow of working fluid is maintained across the heat-generating components, on to the heat exchanger and then back to the heat-generating component.
The present invention provides a method of thermal management of a heat-generating component comprising partially immersing a heat-generating component in a working fluid and transferring the heat from the heat-generating component using the working fluid in a constant cyclical flow of working fluid across the heat-generating components, on to a heat exchanger and then back to the heat-generating component.
Grease composition and use of grease composition
Provided is a grease composition which contains (A) a mixed base oil containing (A1) a low-viscosity base oil having a kinematic viscosity at 40° C. of 10 to 50 mm.sup.2/s and (A2) a high-viscosity base oil having a kinematic viscosity at 40° C. of 200 to 700 mm.sup.2/s, (B) a lithium-based thickener and (C) a polymer having a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 1,000 to 100,000 mm.sup.2/s, and has an apparent viscosity at −10° C., as measured according to JIS K2220:2013 and at a shear rate of 10 s.sup.−1, of 50 to 250 mPa.Math.s.
